What do you guys think about game 6 tonight going on against NBA's game 3? I think the NHL are retarded for fucking up this schedule. How do they expect to gain ratings when the majority of people tonight will be watching Lakers vs. Magic?

On ESPN today, they had a ratings lost from 2007-08 that ranked the NHL dead last. Even the WNBA and Arena Football got higher ratings. Mind bogging!!!

I think some of it has to do with bad information, according to that Numb Nuts Buttman, 80% of the arena's were @ capacity during this years NHL season, and I believe he the dumbshit even said game 3 in Pittsburgh broke the nielson rating on VS. (in other words it was the most watched show on VS. EVER) So I don't know if I give much credence to the WNBA or arena footballs TV ratings doing better than the NHL.. just my :2 cents: of course, I don't have reliable proof / evidence, but I think the way Buttman is pussifying the NHL the less AMERICANS from different regions that are not HOCKEY HOT BEDS, are not gonna pay attention, be attracted to, be drawn in, and prolly won't become fans unless its an exciting, tough, phyiscal, with fighting included, high-paced, continuous high skilled hockey game / product played @ its best to excite and interest AMERICANS that are not HOCKEY crazy.

I say fuck Buttman, bring in somebody who's gonna get the NHL on primetime, all the time TV, ie. ESPN, ESPN 2, with VS. picking up some of the games as well as NBC and or ABC. Market this sport correctly and you've got an exciting product to rival BORING A$$ NBA, cheating A$$ MLB (Steriod rampant league) and the NFL (National Felon League) who only give a shit about the SCRILLA ($$$$$$$$$$) NBA is the same.. :2 cents::dunno::hatsoff:

me too. most people don't like to see cups won away from home, i think it is great. bad for season-ticket holders, but great for ratings and for the sport, i think.

let's see pit win in detroit. i'd love it.

Well, game 7 series final. I am pleased. Pittsburgh, however, if they play game 7 like they did the last period tonight is going to have their ass handed to themselves on a plate.

ya true, they let detroit get the jump on them, they need to come on strong and check the shit out of them.

Holy shit what a game! My heart is still pounding. Let's just hope that the pens can keep their cool in game 7 and minimize the unneeded penalties. They need to take Kunitz out, that guy is just a penalty waiting to happen every game. He is too aggressive and doesn't make enough saves.

why doesnt shitsburg ever get called for interference on dump ins like the wings do?...oh ya, because the NHL wants the thier little poster boy to win a cup......i cant believe all the talk about crosby and malkin being called great players...sure maybe they are good offensive players but they cant even play on the penalty kills...one way players just like lemeuix and jagr...little bitches...real players kill penalties as well as 5 on 5 and power plays....stevie y was a great player...zeterberg and datsuk are great players

my prediction is that the refs will once again be super hard on detroit and easy on the penguins in game 7.......

if the wings win...ozzie for MVP
if shitsburg wins...bettman for MVP

I love about 5 other teams besides my Red Wings.. I won't mention any names right now.. but I love Big physical, tough, talented, aggressive teams, allot of times to compensate the lack of that aspect when it comes to the Red wings. :mad::cussing: I just watch other teams to get the rough housing I love.. :eek::D

There is nothing wrong about being a 'hockey' fan ,,instead of just a local fare-weather fan.:anonymous Unfortunately it is just not that common here in the States like it is up north of the border. i live in what is called a good hockey city,, but after the Flyers get knocked out of the playoffs good luck finding that many places to watch the rest of the Cup games. Although I may not be a Redwings fan,, as a hockey fan you would have to be a complete idiot not to respect the talent and effort this team ( and the others the past 12 years) comes to play with every night ( regular season too). I'd like to see the Pens win but if game 7 goes your way enjoy it, I remember '74 like it was just yesterday, and winning again does not get old. For 'hockey fans' out there how can you not enjoy seeing these two teams go at it for 7. "Good night and good hockey!!!"

PS: The 2 sweaters of the original 6 teams you would not be caught in?
My first guess would be the Canadians,, 2nd is a toss up because I could
see a dislike from Wings fans for several,, but I'm going with the
Blackhawks...:dunno:

Do you know what at home reffs are, Detroit is terrible for this whenever Detroit is at home the other teams gets called for everything, and they have to play the most boring hockey ever, the pens will win if they check them because Detroit doesn't do well with that they win on face offs and PP.

:weeping::weeping::weeping::weeping: There was some bad calls but :weeping::weeping::weeping::weeping: I think the Redwings like any team has had its share of offensive minded players. And get real ,,Mario was one of the top 5 players EVER!!!!! Maybe I was just lucky to see him play so many times.:dunno: In a 7 game series the best team will win, and that game 7 is not in Pitt. BTW ,, I'm not sure if Bettman even knows what a hockey puck is, let alone a penalty.:confused:
