What kind of movies do they play on Canadian TV?
Slap Shot. Slap Shot like a motherfucker.

So today the league announced an offer of 50/50 split(also known as the original place they should have started negotiations). The problem is that with that kind of agreement, there is not enough revenue sharing to cover current contracts(thanks new deals right before the lockout, I'm looking at you hypocritical Jeremy Jacobs). So I expect the players to reject the deal and for owners to use this as a way to sway public opinion. Also, for those who want to watch KHL or other leagues just google it and you can find sites that stream it; just like NHL, MLB, NFL, NCAA, and soccer leagues.
Yes it was Marcel.Marcel, I take it? I was having a hard time paying attention - I was playing NHL13 Be A Pro on my other TV, and I kept hearing them say Hossa but I never really saw him. NHL/KHL skills comp would be pretty sweet, too. That way we can finally settle the hardest shot title with a neutral gun.

For some reason I thought you were Canadian.
They honestly didn't take the 50/50 deal? My god, the board I'm on that is strictly hockey and has a shitload of members and crazy active threads is already fucking irate.
NHL announces cancellation of 2012-13 regular-season schedule through November 1
The National Hockey League announced today the cancellation of the 2012-13 regular-season schedule through November 1. A total of 135 regular-season games were scheduled for Oct. 11 through Nov. 1.
The cancellation was necessary because of the absence of a Collective Bargaining Agreement between the NHL Players' Association and the NHL.

They'll still be the Islanders,no?
They are staying the Islanders, according to Wang.
The Dodgers are L.A's team!! FOREVER!!!
Don't know how the Islanders expect to play in Brooklyn for 25-years. Barclays isn't designed for hockey, so half of the arena is going to be curtained off entirely unless they reconstruct the entire thing.
The number of people who give a shit about the Islanders is minimal so I don't think it will be a problem.
