Lightning Recall D Marc-Andre Bergeron from Norfolk. hopefully he and his canon of a shot will help our power play get back on track. it was strong until we hit #1 overall on the Power Play and it's been a free fall since

It's great to have him on the team for the powerplay but I hope his lack of defensive skills doesn't hurt the team.

to be fair, we don't know how he's going to play for us. everybody was knocking us for signing Brett Clark and he's 8-12-20. he's a -2, but Tampa have always been a terrible +/- team so that's not bad.

Brett Clark has always been a decent defensive player , Bergeron has always been from bad to very bad defensively. But I think it's worth the risk if the powerplay becomes lethal again.

Before long all you Lightning fans will despise Bergeron. Trust me. His defensive skills range from more like atrocious to inept. He will do more harm than good for your team. Sorry.

It was what you call a ugly win the game was fun to be at my next game will be Tuesday against the Sabers

dude, i have to live through you. i've only been to one Lightning game when they came to play LA in January '08. (TB won 3-1). i'll never forget it

Artyukhin scored the first goal coming down the right boards sliding the puck past Erik Ersberg's stick. a few minutes later, Mark Recchi got a goal on a spinorama. later, David Koci fought Raitis Ivanans and Lecavalier would notch the 3rd goal later on.

great night that was

that's great news. he was really something to watch when i was a kid

No doubt. I have the original authentic Avs jersey from their first season lettered and auto'd by Sakic. Loved watching that team so much. Roy, Hejduk, Lemieux, Forsberg, Drury, Foote, and of course Sakic. Many more as well. I always thought watching Forsberg handling the puck was a thing of beauty. Best stick handler in the league, IMO.

ummm...shit.

ST. PETERSBURG, Russia - Move over, Zdeno Chara.

The Kontinental Hockey League says Russian defenceman Denis Kulyash has smashed hockey's hardest shot record.

Kulyash hit 110.3 miles per hour at the KHL's all-star skills competiton Saturday -- well ahead of the 105.9 m.p.h. shot Chara registered at last weekend's NHL all-star game in Raleigh, N.C.

The 27-year-old Kulyash plays for Avangard Omsk in the Russian-based league and has 11 goals and 24 points in 46 games this season.

He was an eighth-round pick of the Nashville Predators in 2004, but has never played in the NHL.

Chara, a six-foot-nine defenceman for the Boston Bruins, has captured the hardest shot competition during the past four NHL all-star weekends.

Wow, I get in the door, turn my tube on to vs. and what do I see but 3-3, 4-3, 5-3, 6-3, and then 7-3. Tough break for Rollie tonight as I saw all of the goals and they weren't particularly the mnost difficult. On the national VS feed as well.

Tampa is up 3-2 after the 2nd, the refs start making EXTREMELY bad calls and we lose 7-4

Results of Ballard's MRI show a mild knee sprain...rehab with our training and med staff... expected to be out 3-4 weeks.

astounding.

If that happened in a football game the player would have been out for the entire season. Just goes to show how tough hockey players are.
