You seem to missunderstand the meaning of the phrase "right now".

I only see one French Canadian. What happened to all the French Canadian keepers?
They have the second worst goalie tandem in the nhl after your great oilers , yet they are in 7th in the league. Don't you think if they had a half decent goalie that they would be better than they are right now ? So if they are better than 7th overall wouldn't they be close to the top ? I think it's all logic.
Hearing that someone thinks Mathieu Garon is the solution to their goaltending woes makes me feel like I must be taking crazy pills. (And don't claim he's all of a sudden a good goaltender after a decade of mediocrity just because he's played great this season. He's played 11 games as a backup to a fellow mediocre goaltender. If he plays 50 games and keeps it up, then we can talk).
I watched the guy in Edmonton, with a great deal of frustration. His career numbers tell the story.
I understand what you're saying, if you had a good goaltender you'd be good. Not the best in the NHL, don't go crazy on me, your team isn't impermeable. But Garon is not a good goaltender. He wouldn't even be an improvement. Compare his career numbers with Ellis', you'll see, it'd be a regression for you if he came in.
And I'm all for your enthusiasm for your team, but I don't think they're as good as you think they are. They have some holes and do not have anywhere near the depth as some of the top teams in the NHL this year.
But, they're better than the Oilers, so you win, I guess.

Wow, San Jose scored 3 goals in less than 4 minutes to climb back from a 4-1 deficit and make it to overtime. Fun game to watch again tonight!
that was a great one. Briere looked to have it with no time left but the puck went flatside to the goal line when the clock ran out. one of those one-in-a-million things.

I think we have to ask mr Vinnik because he is the one who is going to decide to let Yzerman make a move for a good goalie. Tonight tampa should have won 3-1 , absolutely no reason to lose a game with the shots 41-23 for the bolts. Tomorrow , we are going to have the same problem : A very bad goalie against a great one.
whomever decides, i hope they don't wait until our playoff window has closed. we can still makes some noise if a new name is brought in within the next couple weeks. as it stands now, though, we will not be in the playoffs with these guys in net.
