I was surprised and impressed that Nashville beat Chicago last night. As much as I can't stand Montreal, I want to see them knock the Capitals out of the playoffs. I also can't wait to watch the Canucks and the Kings tonight, game 1 was exciting. Oh yeah my home team the Bruins play today, they need to pick up their offence.

Don't lie...you were the guy who got chucked in the 3rd for throwing that damn squid. :D

I couldn't believe that the guy got tossed for throwing that octopus. It's a Red Wings tradition. In Detroit or in Phoenix or any other building, it should be allowed as long as the Red Wings are playing. Although it probably made the Coyotes fans happy to see him get tossed.

That surprised you? Didn't surprise me. Can't have anarchy out there. I heard they are really tough to sneak into Joe Louis.

I'm not surprised at all. Nashville is a good team that could take on Chicago any day of the week. People don't give these teams enough credit sometimes. There is a reason they got over 100 points.

I'm also not suprised. Nashville is a nightmare matchup for anyone with Rinne playing well. Weber is tough as nails and has a bomb from the line. Suter and Hamhuis are no chumps. They don't need to score a ton to win games. The Hawks can score thier way out of trouble and make up for the we let in one shit goal per game play against most teams, but I don't know about Nashville.

That's the thing about Nashville; they almost never get into trouble. Their defence is frightening and their goalie has been one of the best in the league since the Olympics. They play a defensive game - which is boring as fuck to watch, but it gets the job done. I don't think they can score their way out of trouble, but so long and Rinne and the defence play good, they shouldn't have to.

I can't help but think that the unrecognized status the Predators have will help them in the playoffs. More than any other team, no one expects the Preds to do anything. There is all the hype about the Coyotes having an amazing season, but once again the Preds finish with 100 points and no one notices. The Preds don't have any pressure, outside of actually winning a series for once, while the Hawks are Western favourites.

And they just did that. Bruins - Sabres 5 - 3.

As much as I couldn't stand him playing for Montreal, I am glad Michael Ryder is wearing a Bruins jersey and I wish had Recchi had another year left in him too.

Yup and game one was exactly what the Preds have dialed up. The Preds played a patient solid effort on the backend keeping things close. The Hawks gave up the one junk goal per game which got it even and from there its a one play game.

Damn, Montreal crumbled in the last half of that game. 10 minutes into the 2nd I would have said Washington had no chance, but Montreal beat themselves.

Fun game, though! 11 goals!?!

It's time for the main event. Vancouver and Los Angeles. This is going to be awesome.

20 years old, starting for the Caps? That's fucking impressive. He was just playing juniors like last year. That's almost like going pro out of high school, like Housley. Another star for us next olympics. :D

Yeah. Twenty years old, starting for the Caps and scoring the tieing goal, after scoring the overtime winner for the States in the World Juniors.

Like I said. We are going to hate him.
