Wow, I completely forgot that Boston got Toronto's 1st round pick in the Kessel deal. For some reason I thought it was a conditional 2nd rounder. Man that looks like it'll be a pretty good deal for Boston.

Yeah but I doubt this guy will play his first season in Boston, for some reason I feel like he will be sent straight to the minors first.

You're probably right, but even that gives them a plus scorer coming up in the next year or two, which is obviously a lot better than had they not gotten that pick.

Nice start for Sens. 5 - 4 win over Pens.

Sens worked the neutral zone to a T. The Pens didn't play up to their potential, but I don't think they have all year anyway. The Sens were definitely the better team today as much as I hate to say it. I read an article were a guy got laughed at at work for suggesting the Sens could beat the Pens, but I have a feeling that article was spot on. The Senators are no joke, and they are playing some good hockey right now. Then again, it is just game one, lots of hockey to be played yet.
