Phoenix drew an attendance of over 16,000. I wonder how much of those 6,000 new fans are finally jumping on the Coyotes bandwagon, or were just there because of a deal.

Either way, hopefuly the Coyotes being on a nine-game home winning streak, as well as being fourth in the division, will bring some repeat business.

The NHLPA wants to eliminate the few (southern) teams that are holding their revenue sharing down like Florida, Phoenix, Carolina and a couple others.

Otherwise, people want to see pro hockey and see it the way it is, which is good and fast, and hard.

Who knows where the league is going (with Bettman), but I know I think more and more people everyday watch hockey and respect the strategy and hard work the pro player puts in.

I think our prospects look good.

Hey, I can't wait for the Winter Classic! :nanner:

I think Carolina might be a mistake there. When they are playing good they have good fan support. ESPN rated them the second best franchise in North America, for example. Nashville is also turning a profit nowadays, as well.

US and Candian olympic teams get announced very soon, wonder who are some of the names that will surprise people on the list.

Whole bunch of Olympic teams named today.

Latvia Slovakia Norway

I don't expect Norway or Latvia to make much noise. Norway is in Group A with Canada, the States, and Switzerland, so the chances of them even winning a game is low. Meanwhile, Latvia and Slovakia are with the Czechs and Russia in Group B. I expect Slovakia to give the Czechs a run for second, and maybe even for first if they come in ready to avenge their quick exit in 2006. Slovakia has some impressive scoring potential, but their goalies are backups at best.

They should've stayed downtown. The 80 miles roundtrip to see a game is too much for me on a regular basis. I know they had no choice because of arena issues but they should have stayed at AWA until a better location was made available.

Buffalo Sabres' rally from a three-goal deficit and beat the Pittsburgh Penguins 4-3 Tuesday night.

I love when we play the Sabres its such a great series. Our overall record is 59-59-41.

Two new Olympic rosters so far today: Finland and the Czech Republic.

I think the Czechs might be a wild card this year. They seem to be solid all around, and with Jagr they have one of the better scorers in the Olympics. Meanwhile, Findland has without a doubt the best trio of goaltenders a country could ever hope for.

Canada's roster is slowly being revealed now. Can't wait.

Team Canada has been chosen

Goaltenders:
Brodeur, Fluery, Luongo

Defence:
Pronger (Alternate), Neidermayer (Captain), Seabrook, Keith, Doughty, Boyle, Weber

Forwards:
Crosby (Alternate), Nash, Iginla (Alternate), Thornton, Heatley, Marleau, Getzlaf, Perry, Morrow, Richards, Toews, Stall, Bergeron

I'm liking this team except I think Fisher would have made a better fit than Bergeron (I'm a little bias being a Sens fan).

Either way, we are going to be a tough team to beat!

I got Big Bad Bawstin 4
The Broad Street Bullies 3

Can't wait to watch the game at Fenway Park  Should be awesome....(if the weather cooperates!!!)

I hope so. I'm afraid Philly won't be very competitive tomorrow. I hope I'm wrong and we get a good game.
