How 'bout them Flyers? :nanner:

Fucking Bruins, fucking played like a bunch of special needs kids losing to the Oskosh School For The Blind. These guys are going to choke on this series like Gia Paloma chokes on a cock if they don't get their shit together for Game 7!

Crosby has won a cup and a Gold medal. He's not a choker.

Besides, calling Ovechkin and Crosby chokers takes away the credit Montreal deserves for beating those teams.

Exactly, les Canadiens won that series by blocking shots and putting Hal Gill out there to slow Crosby down behind the net. Throw in Cammalleri and Halak, and that's all she wrote. I don't think Crosby choked, he (and Dan Bylsma and the Penguins) were just outsmarted. Les Canadiens figured out how to do it to him. Ovechkin, on the other hand, did it to himself. I know he had 10 points, but he didn't try to make anything happen besides shooting the puck on net as soon as he touched it.

Besides, Ovechkin was on the #1 team in the NHL, and this isn't the first time he's choked on the big stage. Actually, he's choked every time he's been on the big stage.

Crosby just scored the sudden death overtime gold medal game-winning goal in the Olympics at home in Canada a couple of months ago and he won the Stanley Cup last season as the youngest captain in history to do so. He could never win anything for the rest of his career and he'd still go down as a proven winner anyway.

Pens deserve the rest, give the teams that did nothing in the past playoffs one good playoff run. All i can say the eastern conference is screwed this year. Sharks are gonna win it all

You claim that the Penguins didn't choke because the Canadiens figured out how to beat them, and then you say Ovechkin did for the same reasons. You need to make up your mind. The Canadiens learnt how to outsmart the Caps too, so that means that either the Caps didn't choke, or that the Penguins did. Ovechkin didn't choke at anything, considering he scored more goals agains the Habs then Crosby did. It's true that he was on the number one team, but remember that a lot of people were predicting a Pens victory over the Caps in the Conference Finals. The Pens were Stanley Cup champions - an elite team in their own right - and they choked. It doesn't matter if Ovechkin has choked before - everyone does at one point. Sid and the Pens just happened to do it this year as well; the fact that he was part of the team that won the Cup and a gold medal is irrelevant. These playoffs, when faced against the Habs, both teams and both players failed to perform. That's the definition of choke (when used in sports). To say that Ovechkin and the Caps choked while saying Crosby and the Pens didn't is idiotic.

Now Boston, with their (formerly, it seems) red-hot goaltender losing a 3-0 lead against the Flyers and their millionth-goaltender of the season. That's choking.

Alright, you think Crosby choked. That's fine. I don't. Anyone can say that Ovechkin choked and Crosby didn't. Mainly because that's what happened, but if it's their opinion then they can say that and it isn't idiotic. Clearly you didn't understand what I said in the previous post (what would I expect from you), because I was making the point that les Canadiens had a specific game plan they used on Crosby which caused his production to drop (I mentioned it already, Gill tying him up behind the net, which as I hope you've noticed if you're any kind of hockey fan, is one of Crosby's favourite places to create plays from). In the case of Ovechkin, they didn't use any kind of game plan on him that caused his production to drop, he simply became a completely one-faceted player; all he did was shoot right at the net from wherever he was on the ice as soon as he touched the puck. The way he chose to play contributed to the Caps losing that series; the way les Canadiens chose to play Crosby was a contributing factor in the result in that series. If you don't see the difference between those two scenarios, then you are idiotic. I most certainly am not idiotic, nor are the things I say, ever, so fuck off. I am smart and I know hockey damn well and the points I'm making here are relevant, intelligent, and 100% correct.

Whatever. I never said your points weren't relevant, nor did I call you idiotic. I say both teams choked, which is what happened. You don't, so whatever. I'm not going to fuck off simply because you don't like what I say though, even if you think you are 100% correct. I made the claim Crosby choked, you gave the reasons why you think he didn't, and I gave the reasons why I think he did. I disagree with what you said and I gave you relevant reasons why. I never once called you idiotic and I would appreciate it if you were man enough to do the same. We all know hockey "damn well" here.

Nah. We do this every few weeks.

Nor are the things I say. Don't pretend you didn't read that part of my post. I am always happy to agree to disagree, what I wanted you to fuck off for was calling what I had to say idiotic. That was the first mud to be slung. My post prior said nothing insulting or derogatory. I answered back in kind. Perhaps a little more harshly, but that's what you get from me. Sorry, I won't call you idiotic. But don't call what I have to say idiotic either, because it never is. We have different opinions on this, mine is valid, not idiotic. Yours is valid too, wrong, but valid. Try arguing back without slinging mud next time and you won't get it in return. I hate fighting with you PlasmaTwa2, it breaks my heart...:lovecoupl

I dont feel as bad now about my CAPS getting knocked out by the habs. They have really stepped it up. I have no emotional attatchment to any other teams in the playoffs and I guess if I were to pull for any team it would be the Canadiens. As much as that may make me appear as a trader in the eyes of many of my fellow CAPS fans,I would like to see the habs win the cup this year. They have already upset the 2 teams that were favored to be in the conference finals and are the cinderella story of the playoffs.
Not to mention that atleast for me, to say that your team was eliminated by the eventual stanley cup champs wouldnt hurt as much as if they had got blown out in the next round.

Caps got beat by Montreal because they have awful goaltenders.
Pens got beat by Montreal because Fleury was awful for 5 of the 7 games.
During the 14 games they played so far , montreal had to play only 3 times against a goalie that was really good. ( 1 game Varlamov and 2 games Fleury)
The rest of the games they played ,the goalies always let at least 1 soft goal sometimes 2 or more. Last night , Fleury let in 4 goals on 13 shots and 3 of those 4 goals where very soft goals. Montreal had only 20 shots total and Pittburgh had 39. Halak was great as always and Fleury played like crap ( again ) . So there you have it. Now how about facing a great goalie Montreal ?
