I don't get the whole Broncos thing, Yeah they've got Manning but there defense isn't great. When they come up against a solid all round team they are going to struggle. As far as form goes they went 12 unbeaten last year then lost in the playoff. Personally I think the Seahawks, Saints and the Chiefs are better all round teams, But then i support the 49ers and I'm English and know bugger all about football.

It is nice to see some love for the Broncos!
Absolutely. Too much Broncos hating in here.

Even as a Broncos' fan I have to admit that.

The many points they allow and all the penalties against them can break their neck one day if they don't improve on those accounts soon.

.500 for the first time since January 3rd, 2010. WHOO!!!!!

Correction: In the above post I erroneously reported that the Panthers have not been at .500 since January 3rd, 2010. In actuality, the Panthers were 1-1 after week 2 last season. I regret the error. There is still cause for celebration when one considers:

Panthers 2011 Week 7 record: 2-5
Panthers 2012 Week 7 record: 1-5
Panthers 2013 Week 7 record: 3-3

I may not have to think about the Draft until December.

It's not just Peyton, bitch! The whole offense doesn't look good tonight. And the defense doesn't anyway.

And that's actually been a touchdown right there!

It was nice seeing the Jets win over the Pats. Yea, we all know how they won but rules are rules. If you don't like it then get in line. Brady's last drive ended with an incomplete and a sack and fumble. I had a feeling he got rattled by that. He starts the second half with another sack and fumble then throws that intercepted pass for a Jet TD. NE was 4 and punt their next 3 drives. Brady never found the end zone after the first half. NE was 1-12 in 3rd downs and -100 yards in flags. Only 1 win behind them and we don't have to see them again.

We get Cincy and NO before a bye. I'll be happy with a split.

Ok, the Panthers haven't played any good teams in the last 3 weeks. However, I don't think they're in a bad position. There's still room for improvement this season. As far as the play-offs go, a wild card is the most obvious way Carolina will get there, but I reckon the Saints are within range. A fairly tough schedule for the second half, but I don't think that's a real big deal. The NFL, the last decade has been about teams, ot necessarily the best, going on a late run in the second half to make. or even win, the SB. It's pretty open so far, I think.

I have my eye on the Patsy's game, I really hope they slam them!

It's true Carolina hasn't played any good teams during their win streak (though I don't think the Rams are that bad) but the important thing to look at is how they beat those teams. If both sides played terribly and Carolina won because somebody has to win then we could say "They eeked out a win against bad competition but they can't hang with the Saints/Pats/49ers". If they continue to play efficient, mistake-free football they will be in a position to win any game they play. At the very least, football will still be interesting around these parts in Nov / Dec. It's been a long time since that's been the case.
