I hate Thursday Night Football with a passion. Football is great because you get to look forward and excited about it all week until sunday (and monday night). But, football on a thursday just does nothing for me. The ravens played a few weeks ago and I hated it. If they would maybe push it to friday I would even be fine .
with it, but not on a thursday when I have to wake up early the next day

I wish they would spread it out throughout the week - especially since there's no NHL to fill in the empty spaces and MLB is basically over. Besides, with 36 teams, there are so many games going on and I'm not paying for a special package to watch them all.

So...what the hell is going on, Texans?? If you let my most hated team end your undefeated streak, then I'm gonna be pissed.

Did anybody see those idiot Cowboys walking back to the line of scrimmage while Romo is trying to get one last play in? Cut those shmuchs immediately.

Go Packers!!!!!!! :D

i'm just so happy that the Giants squished the 49ers and at candlestick, i hope the SeaHawks also win on thursday. bonus that the Redskins actually won at home for the first time in 8 games

Brilliant Manning rallies Broncos past Chargers

Peyton Manning orchestrated the biggest comeback of his career as the Denver Broncos erased a 24-point half-time deficit to beat the San Diego Chargers 35-24 at Qualcomm Stadium.
Manning endured a miserable opening half that included an interception return for a touchdown, before the quarterback climbed out of a 24-0 hole with a vintage display after the break as the Broncos went on a rampage.
He threw for three touchdowns and completed 24-of-30 passes on the night for 309 yards as Denver also added two defensive scores of their own to post 35 unanswered points and join the Chargers at the top of the AFC West on identical 3-3 records.
The result eclipsed Manning's previous best second half turnaround of 21 points and equalled the second biggest half-time comeback in the Super Bowl era.
Chargers counterpart Philip Rivers, meanwhile, had a night to forget, notching up four interceptions and two fumbles, with two of his turnovers returned for touchdowns.

Now ladies and gentleman that is why Philip Rivers will never win a Super Bowl. He makes too many boneheaded decisions. Dude is so overrated, I put him up there with the likes of Romo, at times it looks like they can play but when its all on the line they sink.

No kidding Alex, looks like the dude is struggling just to throw that mofo, terrible release.

Who are the 9ers??

A team soon to be led by Colin Kaepernick... They are starting to use him more and more each week, I think we'll about to see a San Fran's version of the Denver Tebows. Maybe not yet, but if Alex Smith has one or two more bad games he might just be benched (or at least more snaps for colin, but I'm not a big fan of a two-headed qb system)

After fully watching that games (first time I've really watched Dallas) I think I've finally realized the major flaw. It's not Romo (even though he'll never be elite), but it's Jthe coaching (really only Garret and their offensive cordinator). That cowboy team is so undisciplined. I have to say at least 4 times they did illegal shifts on offense (2 in the redzone) and their was absolutely no connection in the play calling between romo and the oc. I'd have to say at least 5 times in the last 5 minutes romo had to sprint to the line of scrimmage and say hut with .3 seconds left.

I just saw a team full of divas that really didn't care (Dez Bryant being the biggest of them all). This team could easily be the lions, except for the cowboys have a ridiculous amount of talent. I'm really not that big a fan of romo, but that guy was one of the few players that was playing his heart out, just terrible coaching.

Ever since Jimmy Johnson was fired the Cowboys have only had one good coach and that was Bill Parcells. Jones has tried to replace him with several hacks since then. Its crazy, every HC has let the inmates run the asylum, its been a total free frawl under Garret's watch. The guy has a "Please Help Me" look all over his face while pacing the sidelines.

RG3 Baby !!!! ... :crowdgrin

Damn you guys did everything possible to give the Cowboys that game..thank goodness you pulled it off because with that loss you put my Skins back in the mix in the NFC East.. Plus the Eagles loss too !!! It would have been a GREAT day if it wasn't for Eli... :brick:

Hope Ray is ok...he's the best, but if this is the end he had one helluva run !

I just have a glass half full look when it comes to the ravens, but I can see how people say we gave that game. I just feel like our offense did a good job on most of their drives and Jacoby Jones lit it up on that return. The thing is, our defense got hurt early.

Ray Lewis: out for the year.. It's not a huge loss because he has lost a step and we have good, young linebackers to step in. The thing is he's still going to be in that locker room and on that sideline leading this team no matter what. I'm kind of surprised to hear he'll be back for an 18th season. Part of me wants to see that last Ray Lewis game, but I don't want to see in that game when he's 5 yards behind receivers and lying on his back.

Lardarius Webb: out for year... what a huge loss, he was quietly becoming a top 5 corner back, he was elite but now he's gone for the season. We have a 1st round bust in Jimmie Smith, a bum who turned down 4 million a year in Cary Williams, a bunch of special teams guys after that, and Ed Reed who thinks he's playing two hand touch football this year. No pass rush cause suggs is out, no stand out corner back, and Reed who will shoulder you to death. Thank god for Marcus Pollard, he will literary destroy a player.

I guess now is the time that Flacco and Rice become the leaders of this team. I never thought I'd see the day when I have to depend on the raven offense to win games

It's actually funny, when we fired Brian Billick a few years ago Garret is the guy we were going all out trying to get. But his wife said she didn't want to go to Baltimore because of "The Wire'.. So instead we just went and got Hardbaugh. I'm pretty sure Ray and Ed wouldn't have let it got out of control, but I still think that players wouldn't give 100%.. I'm not saying Hardbaugh's a great coach, but thank God he's not Jason Garret

Yeah I wouldn't mind seeing Ray retire now while he can still play, rather than being forced out, or carried off the field like Joe Theisman or Tony Dorsett....but I'm not suprised he' doesn't want to give it up yet...players seldom ever do...

Yeah I hope Flacco is ready to be more of a leader and carry more of that load...but defense wins championships, so those young guys better be ready to play because they have some prettty big shoes to fill in for Ladarius and Ray.

Cutler is 9-1 in his last ten starts and the Bears have won 7 of the last 8 against the Lions. Also, the Bears are 8-2 on Monday Night Football under coach Lovie Smith, including 3-0 at Soldier Field. My prediction for Monday night's game? Bears win:)

I agree. Of course I admit some bias since I'm a Bears fan, but by just looking at both teams, it would be an understandable prediction. Besides, the Lions have proclaimed "no more Mr. Nice Guy" as far as their on-field ethic is concerned, so I'd expect to see a reflection of the Lions we saw last year, getting into trouble, getting riled up and frustrated more easily, unfocused and angry. On top of that, the Bears know this and so they will try to take advantage of it. Lovie Smith sent a message out to the Bears fans who will attend Mondays game at Soldier Field. He wants the crowd to get extra loud whenever Detroit has the ball. That team has a history of letting the road crowd get to them rather easily, so this will be interesting to watch.
I suppose not quite as many people will be watching, though, because the 3rd Presidential Debate will be going on at the same time.
