Man, how bad are the Rams if they get the first draft pick ahead of the Detroit Lions?

The Lions will probably take McCoy out of Oklahoma unless the Rams fuck up and don't take Suh. The Cowboys need a stud left tackle. They locked up Flozell, but he is getting old and slow. I think the Browns might trade down and try to get some extra picks.

Nah, I think the Lions may have actually got someone with a little talent at QB in Matt Stafford.......IF they bring him along correctly! :2 cents:

With the 13 and 16/17th pick, I hope the 49ers grab 2 of the following.

Bryan Bulaga OT, Iowa - Get Alex Smith some time to throw the ball. Maybe prevent a sac or two. Or 9.5

Earl Thomas FS, Texas - The defense is going to be tight, but a ball hawk like Thomas could make it elite.

Everson Griffen DE, USC - We have no pass rush. Griffen will help. Plus, the more Trojans the better.

Taylor Mays SS/OLB, USC - This might be a reach. He will probably be available in the 2nd round. His stock has dropped after the Trojans fail season.

C.J Spiller RB, Clemson - They need a big play threat. Spiller is this years Percy Harvin. He'd make their offense better and their league worst return game. RB isn't a big need for them though. Might be better to wait and grab Jahvid Best out of Cal in the 2nd round.

I wouldn't be opposed to drafting a mid/late round QB to sit develop for a year or so either. LeFevour, Snead, Perrilloux. Although I like Nate Davis. We'll see. Our D is going to be top 5 in a year or two. Our offense is goin to open up with Vernon Davis, Gore, Coffee, Crabtree and Morgan. We need a QB lead them. Smith and Hill are not the answer.

Colts needs a fucking DB. Last night, somebody (looking right at you, Tim Jennings) couldn't cover a fucking sleeping quadriplegic. That fucking defense is terrible. Peyton can't complete passes when he has to watch the fucking game from the sidelines. Christ, an occasional defensive stop would have been nice.

Sorry, I have sports Tourettes...

After this uncapped year coming up, a lockout has been said to likely to ensue. How will the American public survive without football? Will Congress step in? I mean, they're trying to get rid of the BCS...so why wouldn't they deal with another issue that they shouldn't have anything to do with?

I hope Bradford is still around when the Browns pick.

Yeah, because Tim Couch, Charlie Frye and Brady Quinn have worked out sooooo well.

The Browns need to stop drafting quarterbacks for a while. All of them suck and the lack of experience at quarterback is one of the reasons why we are such a bad team. We need to get an established quarterback and adjust our offense around them. We had a good thing with Jeff Garcia, but we blew it because we tried to change him and his playing style, instead of adjusting our offense to fit him.

Hope my Bears do good this season. Hopefully we can get back to the playoffs but Lovie Smith is the worst coach in the league, so idk...

I'm a Rams and Texans fan. The Rams need a quarterback and just about everything else and, having the first pick in the draft, everything I read is that they'll grab Ndamukong Suh. I think that's a given and a no-brainer pick quite honestly....he's as close to a "can't miss" prospect as I have ever seen. I think there is also speculation that there will be a quality QB pick available as the first pick in the second round.....somebody like Tony Pike, Jevan Snead or Colt McCoy (Pike is my personal choice but hey with the Rams you just never know what those jokesters in the front office have up their sleeves!) so at least 2 big glaring holes should be plugged.

The Texans need a headhunting safety or a legitimate feature running back as their most urgent areas to be addressed so, at #20, I see them focusing on a big, durable RB like Anthony Dixon out of Mississippi State. If they end up going safety, I'd love to see them snare Earl Thomas out of Texas but I'm afraid he'll be long gone so I think they have to look at guys like Taylor Mays from USC or perhaps even Chad Jones out of LSU.

Sure the drafted QB's have been a bust, but that doesn't mean they should give on drafting them. It means that Holgram needs to do better.

Brady Quinn is clearly not the long term answer. I think they need a long term and short term answer which might be two different QB's.

Supposedly they are talking to the Eagles.

Why is no one talking about the illegal block in the back to Peyton on the INT return?
Probably besides the point anyways!? :dunno:

That's half of the problem though; the Browns have had two quarterbacks for far too long now. They need one established quarterback who can take control of the team. The whole two quarterback system is part of the reason that our team sucks so bad. Why? Because, without one established quarterback, you are left with two mediocre quarterbacks, neither of which has the ability to take control of a team. The team can't get comfortable if they don't KNOW who their quarterback is and it is clearly visible that the Browns offense isn't comfortable or confident with the quarterbacks that they are given. One week it's Quinn, the next week it's Anderson, the next week it's back to Quinn...it's so stupid and aggravating. Pick one, stick with him and let the team come together.

Yes, yes it is beside the point. Its in the past and honestly has nothing to do with the 2010/2011 season whatsoever. The 2009/2010 season, sure, but not the 2010/2011 one. Everyone is looking forward to the only other football excitement we can get until august, and that is the NFL draft.

Personally, I am FUCKING DONE with the San Diego Chargers. FUCKING DONE!! They have did nothing but piss me the fuck off for the last 6 years. The got rid of some of the core linebackers. They got rid of Drew Brees. They (and this is the biggie) FIRED MARTY SCHOTTENHEIMER FOR FUCKING NOTHING!! Norv Turner is a good coach, but STILL. NOTHING!? YOU FIRE A MAN FOR BEING A GOOD COACH!? WHAT THE FUCK!!??(yes alexpnz, i am being sorta hypocritical by telling you to get outta the past, I know, I know.) On top of that, these guys are grade A choke artists and assholes now. Especially Philip Rivers. Seriously, telling the Jets that they didnt belong in the Playoffs? Yeah, you guys deserved to get that ass whipped for that. So I am done with them as one of my teams.

I was hoping Kurt Warner wouldn't have retired. Much like what Brees is doing in NO, Kurt Warner did for the Cards. Getting them to a Super Bowl and playing is ass off. hats off to the man, but all good things gotta end I suppose.

Saints, need to get a little beefier with their front 7 and need a safety to replace the immaculate Darren Sharper who is playing awesome at his age(That is one helluva a task though. That man is gonna leave some big shoes to fill if he retires).

I would love to see Jacksonville make a 180 too. Historically, they are a better team than the Saints and have had the "potential" to have shit go wrong for you if left unchecked.

That is it for now though. Hope Favre doesnt retire. And I will comment on my hopes for the Titans and Jets(love Rex Ryan and Revis Island)later on.

Colts do need help at corner, maybe a heavy hitting safety, and something on the D-Line, because that pass rush looked pitiful with a one-legged Freeney

Good God, what don't the Bears need? They pretty much need an entire new offensive line. They might have the worst one in the league. I don't know how they are going to fix that. Combine that with the fact that good veteran lineman aren't cheap and the fact they have no high draft choices and this year doesn't look pretty.

Hester and Knox are decent secondary receivers and might have some promise in the future, but the Bears need a better main target and they need somebody else that has good awareness and can run crisp accurate routes, especially if Cutler needs another quick outlet after his line tries to get him killed this year.

The Bears defense before this year was good for so many years but I think there time is about done. I sort of think they have maybe a year or two of mediocrity left, if they even have that or even do that well. Too many people are getting old.

They need better defensive ends. The ones they have now just aren't getting the job done. I've haven't seen too many games where they were able to get any decent pressure on the opposing quarterback just rushing four, and they aren't that good at blitzing. They're nothing to write home about stopping the run either. They need better defensive tackles and need more depth along the entire line. I don't know what happened to Tommy Harris but after his injury he just wasn't the same, and at this point he probably never will be. People might think they have good linebackers, but they need more depth there and they need some people that are going to be the next generation to take over. Urlacher is not getting any younger and neither is Briggs. Both while still competent are past their primes. The safeties positions are just one gigantic hole of suckitude. There isn't much more to say about them than that and they might be the worst position on the defense. I also don't know what happened to Vasher and Tillman but both of them went downhill this year in a big way, and not in a manner that makes you think they are just going to bounce back, so they also need new corners.

So what's their highest draft spot?...Yup, I think their is a good chance they are screwed this year. They better pull great choice after great choice out of their asses for low draft picks this year.

Let's look at the bright side...if Cutler didn't have such a terrible year, the Bears wouldn't have had all that bad of a record. 9-7, maybe 10-6. So, if he can improve with his consistency next year, we won't be in that bad of shape. Plus, we'll have Urlacher back which is huge, no matter how "old" he may be. He's still the most impactful linebacker in the league and everybody knows it.

Personally, I think if we land a decent offensive lineman or two and if we can sign a GOOD, established #1 quality wide receiver, we'll be in pretty good shape. We won't be the best team in the league, but we'll be a lot better than we were this past year.

Also, Mike Martz. Huge. Huge.
