--Would Denver suck any less without all the injuries? I mean, really...oh, and Josh McD needs to sharpen up his resume. Hey JM!! WalMart's hiring!:)
--Yeah, the Lions are improved. Hey, they're all the way up to two wins this season. And yeah, they started their third-string quarterback. But, Detroit Fan...GO WINGS!!
--Speaking of improvement...Cleveland pulled out a win today, despite lotsa mistakes, the shame of losing to LeBron, and Delhomme. If I lived in Cleveland, I'd hang myself. But before that, I'd have some football hope.
--Minnesota finally won. But Favre is out with an injury. Here's to hoping he's out altogether.
--Green Bay is hot. So hot the cheese is bubbling. And in December. Jennings made Rodgers look like Starr. McCarthy still needs a running game. And Starks may be a diamond in the rough.
--Dallas is waking up...a little. They have the early lead against Indy. And Caldwell had better fucking wake his team up. And soon.

:eek:Wasn't there just a Conf. Champ game at Cowboy (Texas or whatever) Stadium last night??????????????????????

It must have taken an army the size of the population of Beijing to clean and prepare that tuna can for the game today...Impressive.:o

Thanks...it was just a quick glance....when I checked to see the score...

Manning.

So I guess the verdict is coming in as to how Manning would perform if his top receivers were constantly getting replaced like Brady has had to put up with.

No, it comes down to Manning be blitzed on every single down because he has a porous (horrible) offensive line and the 30th ranked run offense in the league. He doesn't have time in the pocket and he's constantly getting hit. Teams are just teeing off on him because they don't have to worry about anybody beating them on the ground. He'll adjust.

This team will make the playoffs. Mark it down.

Watching the Lions is painful this year. Even more so than in previous years where they were just terrible and lost because of that. It's getting to the point where I'm even rooting for them some just because it's starting to get cruel. While the Bears might be one of the worse 9-3 teams I've can remember the Lions could very well be the best 2-10 team I can recall.

Raiders now 4-0 on the division :D

Jaguars looking good. Of course, this means they'll likely lay an egg next week, which is perfect cuz they play the Raiders.

C'mon A/R...the Colts have to do more than just make the playoffs for Manning to compete with wonderkind Brady...:o

The Bears just can't get any love. They have the best or at least one of the top three defenses in the league and Cutler has been playing at an unbelievable level for a month just look at the stats and they've beat the Packers and Eagles.

I'll concede that with their recent wins they might have moved from mediocre to slightly above average.

Yeah, because Peyton's Colts haven't missed the playoffs since 2001.

Pretty sure Tom Terrific's streak isn't nearly as long.

Its' probably unfair, but people have this (mis?)perception of the Bears, and probably won't be taken seriously until they win a playoff game. Personally, I think they are the 3rd best team in the NFC after Green Bay and Atlanta.

Loved that Steelers game baby! A guy breaks Ben's nose....no penalty! Heath Miller is taken out.....no penalty (the head of officiating said it should have been called)! The refs try to job the Steelers......but they still grind out a hard fought victory! Hell of a game.....couldn't steal that one from the Steelers! Instead of all the fines that stick on James Harrison, they should start giving fines out to the refs for missing blatant calls. I bet they would have missed the calls if Harrison had done any of those things. Of course we will get the fines tomorrow or Tuesday after the fact! The league just keeps showing what a BS league it is when it comes to enforcing the rules!

"nearly"?? The Pats under Brady missed the playoffs once since he became the starter in '01. That was in '02 when they finished tied with the 'Fins for the best record in the division but lost the tie breaker to them. That's not 'nearly' to you A/R??

But I'm sure ol' Tom will just settle for being the guy who led the Pats to a ring as a first year starter, being at the time the youngest QB to ever win a SB, 3 SB wins in 4 years (I can't even count how many AFC Champ games and SBs he's actually played in...he should just change his address to AFC Champ game or SB) and a perfect regular season among other things.

Sadly the Bears get no respect because they don't put the bad teams away. had they blow out Detroit and Carolina and not lost to Washington folks would rank them higher. I think they will do all right in the playoffs depending on injuries

I'm not sure I agree with that. Yes they should have easily beat Detroit the two times they played them but I'll agree with others who have said that Detroit isn't as bad a team as their record says. This is the NFL and any team can win on Sunday, the Jets needed a TD in overtime to beat the Browns a few weeks back and the Saints needed a last minute TD to beat the Bengals yesterday. So are we going to say that the Jets and Saints aren't as good because they failed to blow out their weaker opponent?
