new batman movie

Don't get me started! I'm a fan of DC comics but they suck ass at converting their comics to movies or television shows. For some reason Marvel has the formula down pat but DC just keeps on doing all the wrong things. First of all I think they focus to much on the Batman and Superman Movie Franchises when they have all sorts of comics they can convert into movies like Green Lantern, Flash...

I liked the Flash TV-series. :)

"Flash, The" (1990)
[TV-Series 1990-1991]

I hope that would be the International Justice League then. That was my favorite Justice League team. There was so much comedy in the Justice League comics at the time of that team. :)

I can't claim Supergirl was a good movie, but ever since I saw it for the first time I've had a fetish for girls wearing t-shirts with the Superman/Supergirl 'S'. ;)

They dont stay faithful to the comic, they dont take the material seriuosly, and they dont cast the movie well (remember Shaq as Steel) Also they chose to convert the wrong comics into movies I mean why else would they make a movie about Steel who's comic wasn't that popular to begin with. That movie was all about Shaq and trying to make him into a movie star which cant be done because he cant act. Then they dont get the right directors to direct the movies X-men was good because Bryan Singer is a fan of the comic and took the material seriously same thing with Sam Raimi and Spider-Man. The only thing DC comics is good at is converting their comics into Saturday Morning cartoons. They need to wake up and start doing things right.

As for the new Robin being a girl DC has flirted with that idea for years nonetheless I dont think it will last plus I've seen the covers of future issues of Teen Titans and it looks like Tim Drake is still Robin in them so dont worry!

I have no further comments. You made an interesting post. :)

Thanks Starman! I've never seen the Flash TV show so I can't comment on that but I will say it's suspicious that it only lasted a season. That's not to say it wasn't good like I said I haven't seen it but it might be that DC just wasn't commited to the show so they abandoned it. Notsure. I haven't read the International Justice League I've only been reading comics for 10 years now and it might be before my time. As for the Supergirl fetish Im with you but I also have a fetish for just about every female superhero. Must be the Spandex.

the flash tv show was excellent.....just cuz something lasts only one season doesn't mean its not superb. many superb shows get the axe.....like Kindred the Embraced.....anybody remember theis vampire show with the different vampire clans, nosferatu, torreador, brujah, etc......????

I loved Kindred: The Embraced, and have all the episodes recorded on videotape. The series were based on the White Wolf role-playing game, Vampire: the Masquerade. The Showtime cable network was negotiating to revive this series after its cancellation. The untimely death of the show's star, Mark Frankel, halted the effort. Too bad that, Mark Frankel, the actor who played the main character died in a road accident just after 8, in my opinion great, episodes. :(

According to Internet Movie Database it's available on both VHS and DVD.

"Kindred: The Embraced" (1996) [TV-Series]

And the one your talking about is "Sasha" played by Brigid Walsh. She was quite cute and beautiful with that curly auburn hair. :)

Now I know I've seen it before. Way to familiar to be coincidence. I just can't remember anything about it. :(

does anybody remember what the sci-fi series was called......where half the world was in daylight the other half in night, it took place in the future and had a dark gritty feel to it.... it stared james earl jones as one of the monsters....it had aliens, monsters and humans in it.

i think it also had medical doctors who would put on an alien surgical glove that would allow them to meld their hands into a person's body to operate

can anybody help????

WoW.... i knew chris nolan would bring batman back to his roots... teaser is only a taste of whats to come

i just pulled this off another site too...concerning the scarecrow played by cillian (pronounced KILL-E-AN .....how cool) Murphy
this is basically how Dr Crane turns into Scarecrow...so if you dont want to spil the film...then dont read on

"The shot has Crane (Cillian Murphy) tied up and captured with a sack over his head and exposed to the gas accidentally, as he stuggles and screams he frees his arms and in obvious frenzy he tears away at the sack revealing a slit for the mouth and a ripped hole for the eye. A 'concerned criminal' (my mate wouldn't reveal too much on plot) is scared and enquires "Dr Crane?", we get an extreme close up into the eyehole of the sack, darkness, and then the eye opens and a unfamiliar voice whispers "Scarecrow". Concerned criminal is murdered offscreen - apparently we keep on the eye throughout. Sounds pretty cool and my mate is over the moon at how this scene looks."
