NBA 10'/11' Thread.
Hows that kool-aid tasting?
Not surprised coming from a Heat fan. The problem is that their big 3 don't even compliment eachother. They got 2 ball dominant players who need it to be effective and a jump shot happy big in Bosh. They also have 0 lane intimidation and inside presence.
The Heat will be better when Mike Miller comes back and they aren't ****** to play Chalmers or Arroyo anymore, who are absolutely useless with 2 ball handlers at the wing already.
Boston on the other hand assembled a group that compliments eachother. Rondo is a dynamic pass first pg, Ray Allen can move and play without the ball, Pierce can do it all, and while KG is a finesse big, he has good enough post moves that he can go to when he needs to post guys up, not to mention that he is the anchor to Boston's great defense. Then they got bigs who provide more defense and lane intimidation in the 2 O'Neals, and it'll only get better when Perkins returns.
I'm not a Celtics fan, I'm from Toronto, so I'm a Raptors fan, but I'm just saying...

LeBron and DWade aren't Kobe. Kobe is a ball hog and a glarer at anyone who dares to take more than two shots. DWade and LeBron will share the ball. LeBron loves to set up teammates.
DWade was pretty useless tonight. He kept clanging shots off the side of the goddamn backboard. How many times will he do that this season? Probably never again.
What surprised me was how much faster the Heat were than the Celtics. The Heat out hustled the Celtics and if LeBron and DWade weren't stone cold in the first half, this would've been a Heat win. For a team that hardly played together they came back from 20 on the road and it took a dagger from RayRay to finish them off.
The Lakers practically ****** on home court on Championship Ring night...:rofl: I think there might be some fingers on the panic button in LA :yesyes:

You need to have the ball in your hands to share the ball correct? Well then, both Wade and LeBron need the ball in their hands to be effective. But while one of them is handling the ball, the other has to play off the ball, and that's where the problem is. Neither of them can play or move without the ball. They just don't compliment each other.
While I don't think a team with this kind of talent is going to suck, I don't think people should be crowning them NBA champions either. The basketball forum I frequent, the Heat fans have been pretty cocky the entire offseason up to this point. Little do they know that they have enough weaknesses that teams can exploit.

The Suns absolutely fell apart in the 4th Quarter, outscored 31-11. Played pretty well the first 3 quarters on the road though.
This just in. Hedo Turkoglu is still useless. His best attribute is being a playmaker......except he plays with Steve fucking Nash. Steve Nash!! Only the best playmaker in the league. Good luck this season Hedo.

The heat suck because 3 people will never be a winning team. Wait until they get a few injuries and it will be game over for them. I see this team together for maybe 2 years then they will have to break it up and try to build a team that can win playoff games. Right now they may be only the 3rd or 4th best team in the east.
i say wade and lebron play on 2 different squads...squad a and squad b...max their energy on scoring and then rest one superstar the other one comes in...vice vicersa...they have shooters...bosh and wade didnt do nothing last night

Here's a thought - The Heat will play 33 games in 2010. How bad does their record have to be for Riley to come back downstairs and coach?
I think if they don't win 20, he'll be coaching. Especially if they get their asses kicked at home against the Lakes on Christmas.

The Magic will be playing the back end of back-to-back on the road to supposedly the most talented team in the NBA. Tough circumstances. If my Magic win, instantly people will jump on their bandwagon and the Heat will get picked apart, fairly or unfairly.
:1orglaugh Miami isn't winning **** this year. Maaaaybe next year when they can use their mid level exception to add more depth, but the NBA will probably be on strike, so scratch that out.
