Go Raptors...

:)

:1orglaugh Miami isn't winning shit this year. Maaaaybe next year when they can use their mid level exception to add more depth, but the NBA will probably be on strike, so scratch that out.

BTW, how long you been a Heat fan anyway? A couple months?

The Heat will lose more than 12 games this season. I say they lose close to 20 and finish 2nd in the East. And they aren't the big 3. Bosh is a bitch. Big 2 and 1/2 moar liek it. amirite?

I have to say I'm not really impressed by Bosh's performance so far. We should have signed Boozer or some other big man. Bosh is definitely not worth a max contract.

I think once this team starts to gel your opinion about the heat will change. But if they keep playing like this, you're right.... the Heat aren't winning shit.

I liked the Heat when Kobe hijacked the Lakers and they shipped The Big Leprechaun to Miami back in the day. After the Championship my interest went back to the Celtics and "The Big 3"...

But, as evidenced by the Celtic 3 getting rocked by the shitty Cavs last night, the Celts are a bunch of wheezy geezers this season. They gave it their all agains the Heat and had nuthin' left for the Cavs. That's how it will go for the Celtics this season...I wonder if the Celts will be able to hold off Atlanta this year. Rondo can't do everything all by himself...

When LeBron went to Miami...yes, I switched allegiances to the Heat. I cringed when LeBron made "the Decision" but I blame ESPN and Jim Gray more than LeBron for that.

So, for the foreseeable future....I am driving the Heat bandwagon bitches :thefinger

I think Bosh is going to pimp slap Superman tomorrow night... AmIrite?? :yesyes:

Soooo..... basically you jumped onto one team's bandwagon, jumped off to another team's, then jumped back on the original. Ughhhh........

How about sticking with a team through thick and thin? I didn't stop liking the Magic when they won 21 games and traded away T-Mac.

And btw the Magic and Heat are both gonna run all away from everyone else in the East (at least in the regular season).

Go Raptors...

:)

All I can say about the Raptors is that if they don't beat the Cavs tomorrow, I seriously think they might challenge the 76ers for the least amount of wins in a season, similar to how the Nets took a run at the record last season. I mean, it's been only 1 game, but that 1 game seems to be indicative of how the season is going to be for the Raptors. They'll be in close games, but will eventually lose out at the end.

I stick with college teams through thick and thin. I remember when my Trojans got our asses kicked by ND and ucla for year after year after year. The recent scandals do tarnish the glory, to some degree, but Reggie Bush's shenanigans off the field didn't help his greatness on the field. I hate Lame Kiffin, but what can I do? He's my coach now :dunno (and if he upsets Oregon maybe I start to :sing: his praises :thefinger)

Because of the outrageous money and the turnover...I don't feel the need to stay loyal to professionals. They're all mercenaries in the end. So, I will be the mercenary fan.

I don't see how LeBron can face critcism for doing essentially what the Yankees do every season, what the Celtics did with the Big 3, what the Lakers did with the Highway Robbery trade (Pau Gasol) and getting Artest. There are too many good players in the league. In order to win many championships the great ones have to get together. It's business :dunno:

I have no problem at all with what LeBron did. I think people do have certain expectations of athletes. There's many things to consider when deciding where to go. Maybe he just wanted to live in Miami, FL rather than Cleveland, OH.

Btw you don't necessarily have to have superstars to win titles. See: Spurs, Pistons. Ginobili, Parker, and Duncan weren't superstars, their star was overrated cuz they were able to lead a team to championships.

I can't wait till tomorrow's game. I always have enjoyed watching Magic-Heat for 2 reasons: (1) To hold on the memory of the glory days when it was a great rivalry and (2) to see Dwyane Wade. He always plays GREAT against us. Truth be told, I've always kinda liked D-Wade. But fuck the rest of them.

I don't think the Raptors are going to be as bad as people think. So far the Raps have been competitive, which is a good sign. They definitely won't be mistaken for the Heat or Lakers, but they aren't going to be one of the worst teams in history. I think they'll surprise a lot of people this season. Besides, it might be better if they don't bomb. That way, they won't have the chance to land that top five draft pick that will become yet another franchise player to leave.

So far...pretty even between Heat/Olando... LeBron can't get his shot to fall. Bosh is playing well. DWade...okay.

I'm thinking 96 - 88 Miami wins....

Well, looks like the Raptors will at least be better than the Cavs this year. Good, well-rounded game by the Raps tonight.

Well, we did what teams typically do after a back-to-back on the road.......we faded in the 2nd half.......I just hope people don't take this win and say 'We told you so, Miami is unstoppable, blah blah blah.' Btw why the fuck isn't (Florida Gator) Udonis Haslem starting?? Joel Anthony?? Please.....

Pistons lost their 2nd heartbreaker in a row......Ben Gordon went off against OKC.

Rajon Rondo got 24 assists. My God.

Rondo is the best PG in the league. Hands down. When he eventually perfects his jumpshot, he'll be unstoppable. The guy is averaging like 21 assists this season so far. He's more of a triple double threat than Lebron is. Just sayin.

Man. Orlando truly does live and die by the 3. Miami didn't even shoot good, Orlando just shot terribly.

L.A up by 7 at half in Phoenix. :)

Boston beats Miami. Cleveland beats Boston. Toronto beats Cleveland?

Fucking future NBA Champions baby! Los Angeles Lakers? More like Los Angeles Fakers! :nanner:

...Man, I hope I can say that one day without crying afterwards.

Lakers looked pretty good tonight and Phoenix wasn't too bad either. With more games I can see Phoenix and athletic players like Childress and Warrik gelling well with Nash.

Sadly my NYK lost to the celtics but put up a fight. Which I'm glad to see. I've got the Knicks in the eighth seed this year.

IF he gets a jumpshot...he's been in the association for a few years now...:dunno: His defense is also kinda crappy. LeBron can shut him down but not many other guards can. Didn't your Lakers put Kobe on him and that pretty much silenced Rondo?

Sorry Tits, but I'm going to rellish every loss the Heat suffer this year. I positively loathe teams that buy titles.
Bloody, it's the American way....the yankees, the NYRangers (back in the day), the Lakers, the Celtics...the Red Sox, the Cardinals, the Mets (try to every year).. :dunno: pretty much every top tier pro soccer team (Man U, Chelsea, Barca, Real Madrid, AC Milan, etc)...:dunno:

To be fair, the Heat were a gutter ass franchise for a looooong time. Every dog has its day. But you gotta love it when low payroll teams in any of the big four win titles. The fairest of them all seems to be the NFL, but even that league has its share of perenial scumbag franchises.

The Heat somehow made the playoffs last season, right? They ain't Clippers East...although after they win the title they will be Lakers East :thefinger ;) (Or Celtics South)

Kobe and Lebron are terrific one on one defenders. Lebron is a great defender and has 7 inches on Rondo, not to mention his superior athleticism. Kobe is one of the greatest defenders of all time. I wouldn't hold them two against Rondo. He eats opposing PG's alive. He'll give you 12-15 points a night, plus 10+ assists and he's an amazing rebounder for someone his size and position. his 50 assists through the first 3 games of the season ties John fucking Stockton for an NBA record. I'd take him any day over Paul and Williams. Also, his defense is sic. He was 1st team all defense last year, and 2nd team in 2009. He led the league in steals last year. How is his defense crappy? His arms are longer than Reed Richards. He is a nightmare matchup. The fact that it takes someone like Lebron or Kobe to defend him says a lot about his game, considering he has no jumpshot. And there's more. He is the first player to have 20+ assists in a triple double since Isiah Thomas. Look at the names this guy is being compared to. John Stockton and Isiah Thomas. Rondo will be a top 5 all time PG when he retires.

I can't believe I'm defending a dirty fucking Celtic right now. I must be drunk.

Rondo's defense is crappy?? It's probably his best asset.

I wouldn't go so far as to he's the best point guard though......I still lean toward Chris Paul.
