NBA '09/'10 Season Thread

Iverson is looking at the Griz but I hope he joins my Bulls

If he accepts paying second or third fiddle, he is a great pickup. He failed in Detroit, I wish you the best! He is not a off the ball player and needs too many touches to score. His defense has always been average and he in not getting any younger and played tough for years.

He said he would enjoy playing with Rose. He says he really respects him therefore, I think they would work well together.

Iverson needs to go to Charlotte, or come off the bench somewhere else.

Portland is calling for Hedo's head.

yeah i cant believe he changed his mind and is gonna go playw ith bosh they make a nice duo tho

He came to a team that won it all and really left it in a mess last season. Again I wish your team the best, but he is a divider and always needs the ball. He was excited about playing in Denver, but lack team skills. I dont think he can take that role.

Rasheed Wallace signs with the Boston Celtics. 2 year deal for the MLE.

Big 4? Or Old 4? We'll see if Garnett's guarentee of titles in 2009/10 and 2010/11 falls through.

i think this really helps boston finals for 09 10 season boston vs la and la in 7 games

I have no clue about Miami, and, I hate to sound like a broken record here, but I'm incredibly disappointed in Miami. DWade is the best player in the league and he has a bunch of SHIT on his team. No Hedo. No Artest. Nothing. Big mistake Miami. Is Pat Riley getting his dick sucked 24/7 or something? C'mon Maestro, there are 4 teams in the East that are LIGHT YEARS ahead of your team:mad:

While all these teams have so much to look forward to next season with their off-season signings, I have to be excited about..... ummm.... ummm... an improved Michael Beasly? I guess I'll just enjoy watching DWade doing everything for the last time. Then he'll leave us to go to Chicago. :(

WAKE UP PAT!!!!!

Seriously. Wade even called out the front office and basically said, make a move or I'm leaving.

You would think if your star was asking for something you would get it for him.

I think the Iverson to the ~Heat~ talk is just to appease Mr. DWade, who has to be going wtf is happening here? On the one hand, the Cavs, Celts and Magic were already better than the Heat, so they're basically getting A LOT BETTER than the Heat. The other playoff teams in the East equally haven't done shit in the offseason thus far. So, I guess the Heat can still finish 6th or 7th in the East next season?

But, the picture to me is that the Heat don't seem to be giving Mr. DWade a reason to stay. The Heat might risk becoming the Clippers of Florida! (with the dominance of the Magic next season)

I think Artest to LA is still the big move in the NBA. The Lakers have gotten A LOT BETTER and I'm not sure Wallace can put the Cs over the top. I did not expect Houston to let Artest stroll out of their front door....Hedo is making $54mil and Artest is making peanuts? Does that make sense? Hedo is pretty good; Artest is great.....

While Sheed is going to help Celts, the potential losses of Powe and Davis may make C's worse off than before. Having KG back will be the key, but I question his health from this point on and if he goes, so goes the team. Sheed is talented but his lack of hustle and perchant for shooting his mouth can be a problem. And now that both Cavs and Magic have gotten better, don't expect 2009-2010 to be a year for the Celts just yet.

Lakers absolutely must sign Lamar at this point. I don't see Lakers having another successful year without a strong bench and with Farmar, Sasha, and Walton still playing for Lakers I have my doubts. Getting Brown back will also be important. I hope those 3 will put in extra time in the offseason at the gym because next season is going to be even tougher with all the best teams adding more pieces and getting better.

Now that I think about it...we all might as well wave:wave2: goodbye to Hedo Turkoglu as he fades away into the obscuria that is the Toronto Raptors.

The only person left to sign is Lamar Odom. Maybe he will try to bend the Lakers over :thefingerand take them for $80mil? Since the Lakers got Artest for so cheap, I think they will be able to make a decent offer to Lamar. However, maybe Pat Riley can swoop in with some Miami money and extract Lamar:nanner:

The more I think about it..the more this is the year to position your team to sign one of next year's Superstars. With all the Superstars who will be FAs next season, it will be chaos for teams to try to sign one unless you already have a championship caliber team. Will LeBron be the first FA to sign a contract? It's not wise to be first because then everyone that comes after tries to get more...BUT, some of those FA probably want to sign with LeBron, while others just want to get paid....if a team, say the Knicks, sign LeBron, then every other team will crank up the offers to the other Superstars and LeBron and the Knicks will find themselves a 1-man show....

Chaos is going to be the climate next year....this year sort of has the extra urgency already for most teams to make themselves into contenders...

Ah, nice move there Detroit. Coach Whooster? Wtf? The Pistons = Complete Mess.

Assuming Lamar stays in LA--here's the breakdown of the NBA in 2009/2010

The Watchables
------------
LA
Bawstin
Cleveland
Orlando
San Antone

The Unwatchables/No Point in Watchingables
-------------------------------
The rest of the league

I think Portland can make some noise next year. In fact, I think they'll make more noise than San Antonio. Assuming Odom stays in L.A, Portland will finish 2nd

Allen Iverson is a piece of shit. "I would rather retire then come off the bench". He will never win a championship! He is over rated .

Terrible team player
Only trys when he wants
shoots 40% because he takes so many shots

I question if he should be in the hall of fame. He is ok when you look at his numbers.
