The secret ingredient? MY BALLS
Napolean Dynamite is, by far, the most over-rated movie to have come out in the past 10-15 years.

I laughed twice during that whole movie and those are two laughs that I can no longer give to something that is more deserving.

First time I saw it I thought it was awesome, a cult hit. Then I realised everyone thought it was good, so it was no longer a cult hit... It was just usual funny film.

I still think anyone who hasn't seen it should watch it, and just try not to judge it too harshly..

When I first saw it, I thought it was so hilarious that I actually had to stop watching it, because I was laughing too hard...

I never saw it coming!!

I only laughed when he called his pet a "fat lard" and some other part that I don't even remember.

Conspiracy...
I'm not so sure Rhino. I believe this movie is a cult classic now.

Too bad there wasn't a sequel.

I like Tina Majorino in this movie.

Efren Ramirez, John Heder, Aaron Ruell, Jon Gries, great cast.

Jon Gries was in three episodes of Seinfeld.

the funniest part ,IMO, is when kip tells napoleon to hit him and the doorbell rings. they both look and napoleon slaps kip and answers the door

I'm the opposite..I didn't really like it on the first watch, but after a second time I found so many parts that were so ridiculous that I was laughing my ass off.

C'mon...Detrich Bater....Rex-Quando...that shit is priceless.

John Heder isn't even the best character in this movie....Kip and Uncle Rico have such great lines..Yeah it got a little over-hyped, but that doesn't mean it's not good. People don't like Napoleon Dynamite because they're trying to figure it out. It's not meant to be figured out...you just have to take each individual scene for what it is..complete non-sense. My wife hated it too..which is why I have to watch it every time it's on TV.

I have to agree. The first time I saw it I was like, "What the fuck was that?" And for some strange reason, I watched it again and enjoyed it. After watching it several times it became a classic. And yes, Uncle Rico was the best. "How'd you like to see me throw this football over those mountains..." - CLASSIC

DAMN! stole my thoughts, word for word!

You know, it was pretty good. It didn't just blow me away. I was not a different person after watching John Heder knock out 18 sets of cheezy dance moves. It was fine.

I liked Napoleon's brother. He was so awful and hopeless, and then LaFonda shows up. Pretty funny to me.

I really think that Napoleon Dynamite actually still under-rated as a film. On one layer, its a simple comedy, then you have a more complex story about relationships and personal growth. If it was not merchandised to death, it would be considered a true classic; it is a personal gem.

The Satyr Icon

Funniest part of the movie for me was the scene where Napoleon offers the geek "protection" in exchange for voting for Pedro.
