islam fundamentalists ready/possibly take over ??

It seems extremely unlikely because they'd have to usurp the military. I think return to business as usual under an new ex-mil President is the most likely scenario at present, but we'll see.

Why save the world, when you can rule it?
Jebus with a hockey stick on a donkey killing Mary.

It only took 16 posts to get to Islamic fundamentalists?

I could merge it for you. Or I could leave it and let you live with your failure...

...But I'll probably just merge it.

Exactly. THAT is not to happen, as, like in Turkey, as an example, islamists have a VERY hard time in western-oriented, as in both cases.

I guess USA weighed in with some phone calls and some add-on money investments to the to brass :)

The greatest weapons Islamic fundamentalists have is that they hide among the people.
If they take over Egypt then the Western powers will have a best case situation handed to them; they'll sweep in with superior air and ground forces and the battle will be over swiftly.

That is the main reason which I dont want afree election here in my country cuz if we did do the muslims brotherhood will dominate just like what they did in the 2005 parliment elections....and they are useing relgion to conivince people to join ....and un fortunatly relginion card is the jack of all trade ((historicaly it provoked alot of wars crusades...etc))

Yeah, but look at Iran's economy for an example of the prosperity of an Islamic state. Democracy, with all it's problems, seems to have been the surest engine of growth and prosperity in human history. It seems like Egypt missed out on prosperity these past 30 years because of dictatorship, and here's a new chance.

but we are not ready for it
Its like buying ane luxury BMW car ( the free elections) and u dont to know even the 1st gear from the 2nd gear((40.000,000 of the egyptian are under 10 dollar \month)) ...so what will happen u ll make a deadly car accedent ((those people u ll just buy there votes 4 the basic needs of there lifes))....and I think the main engine of growth and prosperity in human history is haveing a good education and economical systems...even if the poltical system is useing dictatorship methods but still people could be happy if only there is agood education and finicials
