Just played King of the Hill mode for the first time, it's pretty cool. Went into a room where the King had 30 straight wins, knocked him off and went 5 straight wins before the room froze and kicked everybody out. Lag is still an issue online but Netherrealms said they are aware of the issues and are working on them.

That is dope you were able to beat the king, but it sux that everyone had to be kicked out.
I let a buddy of mine borrow the game, so I will be delayed on completing the Story Mode. I usually only ever play the ladder and story mode. I've tried a little bit of the challenge tower, but I didn't get very far. I got to the stage where you can't get hit once by Jax or you will die.
In the Story Mode, I am Smoke and I have to face Sub-Zero and Reptile.
With the Ladder stages, I am 75% done getting the alternate costumes and the weapons for the characters. Raiden, Stryker, and Liu Kang have been the easiest wins against Shao Kahn. Any other time so far he has been really difficult to beat.

I hated that one, eventually I got it. Just wait until you have to face 3 Shao Kahns, 3 Goros, and the final challenge. I skipped the 3 Shao Kahns one and 5 other challenges. They made me want to throw my controller at the TV.
Up till like challenge 170? I didn't even know you could skip. Needless to say I felt the same way until I realized the fact.
I'm gonna take mine tomorrow, i'm so excited, i have a great feeling about this game as a fighting games fan.It's a Klassic.
Anyone unlock any of the secret battles yet? If so, do you only get to fight against those characters or do you also unlock them? I've read on the internet that you get an achievement award, but is that really it?
Are you talking about Noob, Smoke, Jade, and Reptile? I fought Noob and got an achievement for it. You have to fight them like you did in the past games.
Noob is in the church with the sacrifice table. You'll see him standing in the background watching the fight. If you don't use block at all during your fight then he will challenge you after you win.
I haven't seen the others but I know with Reptile you have to be on the Pit stage. When you see Santa or a witch go past the moon you have to get a Double Flawless and Reptile will fight you.
I believe Jade and Smoke are in the Living Forest and when you spot them you have to press Down and Start.
The PSN has been down for a little while now due to hacker's on the network.
Its funny, right when I was going to re install the internet for my PS3, this happened. Maybe its a sign.
On a different note, to get the arcade ladder trophy, do you have to beat it with every character, secret characters included or can it just be the people you start off with? I wanna get this trophy and if it has to be secret people too, I'm gonna start on the story mode and try to unlock Quin Chi and the other characters.
There is lag on the XBOX 360 but I heard it was atrocious on the PS3. I can still do combos, moves and fatalities. Netherrealms said they are working on a patch, hopefully it'll come out soon.
Played the game co-op with my buddy, we got the Machines Rules trophy where you beat the arcade ladder with Cyrax and Sektor. I was Cyrax, my buddy was Sektor. My buddy beat Shang Tsung, I beat Quintaro, and my buddy beat Shao Kahn.

June 7th? That's the same day that Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition DLC is dropping for 1200 ($15) MS points. Now I have to spend an extra 400. Smooth move NetherRealm.

So I finally got around to getting this game, and the first thing I have to say is I agree 100% with the fact that the game becomes completely cheap once you face certain enemies. I cannot even land a hit on Shao Kahn and yet he can kick and knock me out of the air when I am jumping. Makes no sense, but boy is it annoying.
