I am too biased, and don't want to give up my biases, to become a moderator. Becoming a moderator is not what most people should want to seek, but be chosen based on how they conduct themselves on the board. In my case, that would be never, and I completely agree with that.
But I have served in the capacity before, and it really clamps down on what you can say, severely. Same deal with being an officer of any organization or anything of the sort.
