I think it was in Toronto when Babe played for the minor league Baltimore Orioles.

1. He had been sold by the Baltimore Orioles (International League) to the Boston Red Sox (American League) along with Ernie Shore and Ben Egan on July 9, 1914 for $25,000.00.

2. He made his big league debut on July 11, 1914 pitching against the Cleveland Naps.

Then he was assigned to the Providence Grays (which at the time was the Boston Red Sox top farm club) on August 18, 1914.

3. His first professional home run came on September 6, 1914 in Toronto. He then helped the Grays win the International League title.

4. He was called up to the big leagues for good on September 29, 1914. And pitched against the New York Yankees on October 2, 1914 defeating them.
