Alright, I did pretty poorly on my first round predictions (one out of four) and none of the series went the way I wanted them to :crying:

So here are my new predictions:

Phillies over Giants

Rangers over Yankees

Phillies over Rangers

It just so happens that what I think will happen, in this case, is what I hope does happen.

I had no idea the Rangers had never won a playoff series. Fuck me. They are going to get shitted on. the Pin Stripes will also win it all and repeat.

The Cubs have taken off the interim tag on Mike Quade and have named him their manager. I think this is the right move by the Cubs. I was impressed by what he did with this club after Pinella left and I'm rooting for him.

I think MLB needs to develop a hologram version of the strike zone thingy that ESPN uses to check balls/strikes and beam it over the plate before every pitch. It's getting embarrassing to see how wrong Umps today are when they call balls and strikes. Embrace technology MLB...

Back in our grand grand pappy's days...when MLB was created, Umps had to call ball/strikes based off of pitches that were..what, 30mph max? The ball is coming too fast today for the ump to know for sure what is a ball and what's a strike. I laugh when a batter complains about balls/strikes (when he takes a pitch) because he has a different view of the pitch than the ump does. Although the Ump is a bit old, eyesight isn't as strong as a 25 yr batter's either :dunno:
