Re: i'm just going to assume they wouldnt allow me to bring my gerbil as a date
who wants a gerbil
who wants a gerbil
So girls in tuxedo's is an example of the country being a better place?
how is that?
Lets talk about tolerance. Respect the feelings of the other hetero students, they dont want their memory of their one and only prom overshadowed by the memory of a chic in a tux.
who's blatantly only trying to get attention.(maybe she'll paint on a nice little Clark Gable moustache too).
She and the aclu are the ones being intolerant.
Where they both hot?
If not then it is reasonable, no one likes ugly lesbians.
They were Rosie O'Donnell look alikes.![]()
Save all that talk about "tradition". You have girls today showing up at Proms dressed like complete sluts. Not that I'm complaining, but what is traditional about that?
The most glaring factor here is that the school board just seems like a bunch pussies. A somewhat controversial situation arises and the best they can do is.... run from it and cancel the only damn thing?
The pussification of America seems to reach new lows every day, it's that fucking Obama I tell ya!
On a lighter side, they should have let the dykes in on one condition: They have to do a little show on top of limo before they're allowed. Nobody knows how to turn lemons into lemonade anymore....
I'm not. To most people I'm not just Boothbabe, I'm a lesbian first. Most people are still not able to judge me for who I am, they judge me by what I am as if who I am is defined by who I have sex with. I've gotten used to the utter stupidity displayed by these people and the excuses they make up like meesterperfect.
Internet comments are generally the same all around for the most part. Go read YouTube comments. Those are some of the most vilest and poisonous comments ever. I can understand writing your opinion, point of view, whatever. However, some people, they will come on and then just attack you for it like there is no tomorrow.
Crazy. Then again with the power of anonymity comes the power of being an asshole and puffing yourself up.
Either way, that's what I like about this site, for the most part it is rather civilized. It might get rough around the edges but there are by far worse sites out there that just carry on silly drivel/vile poison.
<3 FreeOnes![]()
My friends and I were banned from the prom, because they were afraid we were going to do something Special FX related and gross everyone out like we did for homecoming one year. But to call off a prom, come on, seriously.
man your obviously in the states.
i just walked a half mile in colombia and saw more cleavage than i see in the states in five years.
in about and hour i'll be in a bus with big tits and perfect asses taking up 80% of the space within that bus.
a woman showing her body is natural, a chic in a tux at a prom is ridiculous
PG i think you miss the point.
the school isnt pussying out, its saying fuck you!
"youre gonna sue us and probably win which will only hurt the future students/teachers and taxpayers.
and some liberal judge or bleeding heart jury is gonna give you millions.
so fuck you girl fuck you america, you want to put us in that situation then we simply wont have a prom then you cant sue us."
I'm the bad guy?
How did that happen?
oh booth, how intolerant of you.
you are soo intolerant to my feelings as a heterosexual.
why? why?
serious, i dont see what excuses i made.
you got me wrong i think
i have never made fun of or degraded gays. I have pointed out some of the ridiculousness on their part at times, like i have with many things from rappers to rapists (sometimes the same thing!).
i accept the fact that people of the same sex have sex.
i even condone the right for gays to go to the prom together.
i dont condone dudes wearing dresses or chics wearing tuxedos to a formal dance.
that is just trying to cause a distraction and stir controversy in what should be a night of fond memorys (unless of course youre ben stiller (he was masterbating!)).
so people please escape the plantation mentality.
dont fall for it lke the media pushing this story wants you too.
nobodys denying gay rights here, only enforcing a dress code.
they were gonna get sued which would only hurt the school so they said screw it, no prom.
I thought you neo cons say you like freedom? I guess it's only when it benefits you.
Yes. Yes it is; how? It shows yet another end of an era of backward bigotry. Not that the last one (old school racism) is completely done with, but we've certainly come a long way since the 50's.So girls in tuxedo's is an example of the country being a better place?

By that logic, let's respect the feelings of racist students and disallow any interracial couples at the prom. This may sound familiar; it still sticks. The First Amendment is in place for this very reason. Of course, free speech/expression is not entirely free, and is weighed against certain things: i.e., is my right to say/express what I want greater than others' right to be protected from what I have to say/express? The obvious example is shouting crowded in a theatre; your right to say want you want is trumped by the safety of the others.Lets talk about tolerance. Respect the feelings of the other hetero students, they dont want their memory of their one and only prom overshadowed by the memory of a chic in a tux.
I've said it before on this board, but I'll say it again - arguments against gay couples have nothing to stand on. Guns? Abortion? Drugs, prostitution, capital punishment? There's debate there - as in, actual evidence to support one side or the other. The evidence may skew to one end or the other, but at least it's there. Homophobia, however, is nothing but naked bigotry.Did the country's moral compass fall because of this? No. So what difference does it make?
Indeed; I'll be happy to see the day no one cares anymore (I'm hoping I get to see that day).Another story being blown out of proportion.
Aye, the internet certainly boosts the obnoxiousness. Back in Portland, there's an annual...uh...gay festival? Something along those lines (encompassing any sort of safe, non-traditional lifestyle, I suppose). And every year, there's always folks standing around the entrance holding their "God Frowns on Gays" signs and such.Crazy. Then again with the power of anonymity comes the power of being an asshole and puffing yourself up.

Aye. Much agreed.Anti homosexuality is positively fucking ridiculous.....Its on a super level of moronicness!
BTW, wasn't there a case like this some years back with a boy wanting to go to prom in a dress? I'm pretty sure there was but I don't remember the outcome. Had I been at that prom I think it would've scarred me for life.

True, but the same amount of harm is done in both accounts - none. You cant help what color you are born. You can help whether or not you are a girl that tries to wear a tux or a guy trying to wear a dress to a high school prom.
This seems like it would be illegal, yet totally believable. After all, it wasn't that long ago that there was church still burning books down there...They still do down south. It was on O'Reilly like last year. There was a black prom and a seperate white prom at one southern high school. I don't feel like googleing it right now, but I know this was just recent.
Why can't she wear a tux? Most of the proms I went to featured girls in tuxes who weren't gay; they just wanted to do something different. Why can't she wear a dress?
