Take the following as unbiased constructive criticism.
1. The shorter the better, 1 month would be a drag as it is. 1-2weeks is best, at worst 1 week per round.
2. I Don't know how it went to actually vote last year. I lurked and didn't join until the shenanigans began to subside. The last stage of the contest thread was mostly a popularity thread for a few select OCSM's. Voting cliques were hogging the thread, putting off other girls who weren't in their clan from posting pics. Members who were posting votes for their fav pornstars were being asked to justify their votes.
Thats how the contest looked from my perspective of n00b lurker looking in.
A Multiple vote system encourages vote trading groups, which are virtually a form of cheating. I don't understand the need for 10 votes in the same category. Your 10th favourite model of the cat will be getting equal to your 1st choice. Spreading the votes between categories would be the better choice, a lesser of the evils eh?
3. An overall index, details of which sites they have featured on etc.
4. N/A
5. Best teen? best black or ethnic? best lesbo? best Canadian?
There's already more than enough categories. Best Official site cat highlighted the voting problem, with members voting for sites they hadn't ever joined. Not much point having a Euro category either. Europe's finest feature stars such as Nessa devil, Simony Diamond etc would have to conceed to the biased voting structure, because they don't regularly post in the forum section. The original categories could do with a re-structure. Amateurs who have never fucked on film, were grouped in with hardcore stars in the previous event.
6. Some OCSM's regularly post in their own babes thread. Many come and go, they are overlooked because they are not part of the pandering clique. They don't over advertise sites or bump up their posts/thread replies amount by neglecting the multi quote function. Having a criteria is good, but be careful you are not too strict with it.
Actually, what I've been thinking about is making up a nomination process for Best OCSM that is done here on the board, because making the category open for voting during the contest itself is way too much work.
But, I can make sure that only the OCSMs that deserve to be in the category make it...and I'm also thinking of making the prize for that category valuable enough that the OCSMs will want to compete for it.
Good luck with that.
It's very nice idea in theory, but there are only 3 OCSM's that get a lot of recognition. You may as well draw straws between the three or give them prizes already. Just sayin'
