Member, when the leftists said prosecuting Pantsuit would make the U.S. a banana republic?

Well, France is going to make former president Sarkozy stand trial

Ok. And that makes them look like a banana republic if the govt, an opposing party, is pursuing these charges . I'm not in France so I'll live it to others to explain the details of his case

Ok. And that makes them look like a banana republic. What's your point?

My point is that so far..you are the only one that has admitted to it..and you finally admitted to being a leftist.

And the fact that it really doesn't make them a banana republic. It shows them as holding their leaders accountable.

In France, political campaigns are funded by tax-payers money so there are rules to follow. Mr. Sarkozy did not follow these rules, the way his campaign finances were illegakl so he will stand trial.

Anyways, Sarkozy was elected a President in 2007, he failed to be re-elected in 2012 (losing to Holland in the 2nd round) and he was eliminated on the first round of the UMP primaries for the 2017 election (he finished 3rd behind François Fillon (his former PM) and Alain Juppé. Sarkozy political career is over, as he said after losing the primary.
