Mass Effect 3

They're probably very busy trying to make sure the multiplayer doesn't feel like a tacked on mode.

I hate that. If they want to make a multiplayer game than make a separate one and don't take away from the single player. Red Dead Redemption did this. As the single player game was ending I still wanted more of it and felt it should have been longer. I didn't care much for its multiplayer.

I'm not real happy about the multiplayer either. Although they say it's not needed for the main single player game, they also say that things you do in the multiplayer will make the team in the single player more "battle ready" or something like that. I barely play the multiplayer in Assassin's Creed because it feels tacked on and wasn't needed. Not every game needs multiplayer.

I just love how Casey Hudson was saying how they've always wanted to put the multiplayer in but couldn't do it yet. That's not true at all. They've said many times before that Mass Effect was a single player experience. The only reason multiplayer is being added is because EA put their foot down, which I knew would happen when they bought Bioware and is probably the main reason the game was delayed in the first place.

I'll check out the multiplayer and if it's good, then great. As long as the single player doesn't take a hit, I'm good.

I'm actually excited about the multiplayer, mainly because I'll get to create my own Turian & Krogan

The Second-Hottest Man in my Mother's Basement
It's getting incredibly hard to avoid spoilers for this game now that it's getting closer to being released. First there was the script leak and now with all the new trailers coming out people are taking them and looking at them scene-by-scene and posting what they think is happening. I don't want to know anything about the game when I get it, so I've basically stopped looking at everything Mass Effect.

Anybody else getting the collector's edition?

I haven't looked at a single new trailer or read a new article, because I want to avoid spoilers. I have the Collector's Edition on pre-order with Amazon.

I have two copies pre-ordered just in case. Last year with ME2 there was a stock problem at my local place, so Im covering all bets so I dont miss out on it. I agree with all comments about avoiding absolutely anything that might give away a spoiler, Im mad enough already I know about some of the team members. But you can't be ignorant forever!

Incidentally as of the 3/2/12 we were exactly 5 weeks from release! (UK anyway!)

Oh and since there is a delay between the UK and the US release - Anyone who posts spoilers, Plasma and I will track you down and kill you.

The Second-Hottest Man in my Mother's Basement
Anybody else gonna download the demo tomorrow? I'm on the fence. Really want to try it but don't want any potential spoilers.

I'm on the fence about the demo too. I want to download it because I'm really excited to play the game, but I already per-ordered it, so the demo probably won't have any bearing on my decision pf whether or not to buy it. I should probably just wait a few weeks until the full game comes out, so i don't spoil anything for myself, but I'm pretty impatient. I don't know what to do.

Apparently the demo has two hours of the campaign in it, or at least that's what their Facebook says. Way too big for my comfort, so no thanks.

Die For Me
I played the demo and it definitely wasn't two hours long. I have never played Mass Effect before and finished in 40-45 minutes maybe.
Got a friend that has played before who says the demo was meh. Seemed pretty good to me for what little there was.

I kind of want to download it and play just the multiplayer part, and leave the single player alone. I'm curious to know if the MP is any good.

Just played the demo yesterday, since I already plan on buying it anyway. A single run is about 45m to 1h, but the option to chose a different prof / diff team stats will probalby make it a bit longer to play with (to get a taste of the possbilities).

So far so good - noticed a few glitches tho, so hopefully they will get ironed out before it's released :)

I'm just going to leave this here:

(And before you worry... there are no spoilers in this, just awesome)

Awesome. They do good trailers. The Mass Effect 2 one was my favorite of any including movies. I'm seriously debating whether to take the day off and pick up the 360 version of the game and play it all day as the PS3 collector's version I ordered probably won't get to me at launch. I can't wait, just a couple more weeks.
