Mass Effect 3

When the xbox first came out it was baaaad, mine had a holiday to Germany twice to be resurrected from the dead after a bad case of red ring, it was all covered by the warranty though and they sent out a brand new one both times.
Since i upgraded to the new style one i have had no problems at all.

Because a PC is 100% not guaranteed to break down?

im not saying that im just saying a pc would be better. as long as you don't have any virus's. i've never had a pc break down on me.

Possillbly the ability to modify the game, if they use open source.

If you have a decent gaming PC stuff like graphics will always be better on it then the consoles.

Why would a game originating on a games console, have a version made with superiour graphics for PC's?

I could see it going the opposite, a conversion from PC to console having a reduction in graphics. Seems an unfair to treat the players, if you want a more visually enjoyable experience just invest in an expensive game pc. No thanks.

It's always been like this. The specs of a decent gaming PC will kick the shit out of a PS3 or a Xbox 360. Go there and look at the second dog pic and you'll see the difference between what consoles and PCs can produce with the same game. Basically, you get more detail on the graphics when you have a PC.

Just for the record,I wasn't trying to start a PC vs console debate.I was just suggesting that you don't have to play all three games on 360 since ME 1 and 2 are already on PC,and 3 to follow, while PS3 doesn't have ME1.

But to put this fire out, just look at Crysis on a good running PC and that should tell you all you need to know about how good a PC's graphics capabilities are. There isn't a console in the world at the moment that can produce a game that looks as good as that one.

Well, 3 months on and little in the way of updates.

"Arrival" now set the scenes for the arrival of the reapers and on october 28th the saga comes to what will be an explosive finale.

I did have an odd idea the other night - Looking at the story of ME2 from the point of a stand alone play through, the choice is made for us where the council died - So we can assume thats what the creators of the game want for the 3rd one.

Little snippets through the game allude to what I think the creators have in mind. One that I took of the other night is when Kasumi implies that Tali harbours feelings for shephard. I always choose to romance her in my playthroughs and it got me to thinking what if Tali and Shephard fathered a child?

A quarian child with the immune system of a human that could be genetically transferred to the rest of the migrant fleet. Settling a planet, or the recovery of their homeworld would be dramatically sped up. Im hoping this last installment ties up this massive plot element.

But, like I said, 3 months on from the last bump in this thread what else do we know?

Again keep it spoiler free guys.

I just received the new Game Informer in the mail today and Mass Effect 3 is the cover story. Awesome front and back cover by the way. I haven't read through it yet but it looks like there's some pretty good info in the article.

It's funny though, when I saw the cover with the stock Commander Shepard I had the same reaction whenever I see him. "That's not Shepard!":1orglaugh

:(Sad News, Mass Effect 3 has been pushed back to Q1 2012.

Good news, in my opinion, releasing in Dec. would have been way too early, I want ME3 to be well worked on and fairly long, I don't want what happened to Fable 3 to happen to ME3, really short and a crap game.

One thing Mass Effect is NOT is Fable and one thing Bioware is NOT is Lionhead Studios. Development was started before ME2 was released, so it definitely wasn't too early (especially considering that the development and release time of ME2 was about the same).

I'm NOT opposed to delays if they make the game better. I'm just disappointed because the only games I'm interested in this fall/winter was Batman: Arkham City, Gears of War 3, Mass Effect 3 and Assassin's Creed 3 (if announced for this year).

This is good because hopefully they'll have the major bugs worked out so that you can actually play the game right from the release date and now have to wait two weeks for a patch.

Reapers coming for the upstarts. Humanity. Fuck them! Humanity will prevail and kick their unnatural asses back to the void.
