There is a Vietnamese restaurant about 20 miles from where I live. It's okay, but you can't beat Indian food for me when it comes to spice.

did you ever checkout the Indian place in Shepperton I told you about? might be the best Indian food I have ever had. southern indian too which is my preference.

I recall you telling me about a fine breakfast you had in Shepperton but not an Indian. In the UK we are spoilt rotten in terms of choice when it comes to Indian food. Personally there's a couple of great Indian food wholesalers down the road from me which I visit 3-4 times a year to stock up.

Not my neck of the woods Shepperton. Like I said we are spoilt in the UK when it comes to Indian food. There will be a thousand places if not as good or better in the UK than Shapla. The USA has a lot to learn when it comes to this type of cuisine in my opinion. You are getting there though.

the best Indian food I had was in New Zealand. There was a place that had take away til 2am that I had 4 or 5 nights I was there that was just outrageously good. Many brits who were there in Auckland said the same about this place. have you been to Aussie or NZ?

hey georges have you ever heard of the Bastide Rose? it's owned by an ex-pat American woman named Poppy. it's about 20 miles from Avignon near le Thor and one of the most amazing B&B's I've ever stayed in or heard of. we rented a cottage for 4 nights and they nearly had to drag me out of there. I fell in love. I am working on plans to return in January when it's chilly and not so hard to get a reservation. http://bastiderose.com

Vietnamese is excellent indeed. At my former workplace, I always used to eat at the Lao Cha Leun vietnamese restaurant.

Never had but thank you for the headsup  I am pretty sure the food and the wine must be 5 stars. I will go there someday once all my personal and family matters are solved for once and for all.

A girlfriend of mine emigrated to NZ last year. Not been out to see her yet but I will.
