I may not have all of the great seafood and year round fresh vegetables by me like you do, but one thing I blessed with is Indian food. Iselin, NJ is one of the largest Indian communities in the USA and I can walk to there. I can go past a dozen Chaat houses before I even get to the center of town. From mom and pop take out to fine dining, they are everywhere. This makes it very competitive so prices are way low for very good food with large portions. My buddy is a vegetarian so when he and his girl come over I can get a meat dish while he has all kinds of stuff to choose from. I don't look at the menu. I just ask for a recommendations from the staff and go with it. Freshly baked naan is such a perfect compliment to the dishes.
Never been to Hialeah Park. It's a shame that such a beautiful place was let to run down though. With casino money I hope they can restore it it it's original beauty. That's when I'll come down. If you ever come by NJ during the summer Monmouth Park is a must do. Coolers with BYOB are not only welcomed but encouraged. Party noon till 6 at the track, Freshen up for the shore and AC till the sun comes up. If you are ever thinking to make the trek PM me and I'll give you the skinny about a fun time for you and your friends (this is not a pick up move).
Dogs are far and few between up here. Bridgeport, CT is the only one I've been to. It was ready for shut down and the next closest is in RI. Lots of dogs in Florida but never been to one. Don't get any simulcasting of them either so I can't follow them.
Did I see someplace that you were going to do a London Broil? I've been spending a lifetime trying to get some tenderness out of one of them.
