Marcus Vick just got arrested for brandishing a weapon at McDonalds. From ESPN.com:

Two days after declaring his intention to enter the NFL draft, Marcus Vick was arrested on Monday and charged with three counts of brandishing a firearm, the Suffolk, Va., police department said in a statement.

Marcus Vick

Vick, 21, turned himself in after police in Suffolk, Va., issued a warrant for his arrest, saying Vick pointed a weapon at a teenage male and two others in the parking lot at a McDonalds on Sunday night, the statement said.

The junior quarterback had been kicked off the team at Virginia Tech on Friday for his moves on and off the field, including an incident in the Jan. 2 Toyota Gator Bowl, when he was caught on tape stomping on the left calf of Louisville All-American defensive end Elvis Dumervil after a tackle.

Vick was suspended from school in 2004 because of several legal problems, and came under intense scrutiny this week after replays of his actions against Dumervil. Vick claimed it was accidental, but hurt his cause by claiming to have apologized to Dumervil, the NCAA sacks leader. Dumervil said he received no such apology.

The last straw came Friday, even as Beamer was preparing to offer Vick the option of accepting a two-game suspension or deciding to leave Virginia Tech.

A fax sent to Steger's office disclosed that Vick had been stopped for driving 38 mph in a 25 mph zone and driving with a revoked or suspended license on Dec. 17. Vick had told Beamer about the ticket for driving on a suspended license on Dec. 19, Beamer said, but had never mentioned to anyone that he'd also been caught speeding.

Vick's license had been taken away in August 2004 when he was cited for reckless driving and marijuana possession, but had been reinstated until a friend driving a car owned by Vick was pulled over and found to not have insurance, Beamer said.

In 24 career games, Vick threw for 2,868 yards, 19 touchdowns and 15 interceptions. He also ran 184 times for 492 yards and six TDs.

A $10,000 bond was set for Vick.

Yeah, great stats :rofl2: He's a 6th rounder, at best.

You really dont know a thing about football do ya?

This season 2393 yds passing, 17Td 10 Int, 62% completion 144.4 passer rating 380 yds rushing would have been over 600 closer to 700, but they minus yards for every sack,6 rushing TDs... Those are great stats and your just a plain fool or have no idea about the game of football. It's a toss-up:dunno: And I am a big fan of him because he is very exciting to watch. Once again I am a true football fan, and what are you? Someone that does not know what the hell he is talking about. Talking to you = talking to a wall:helpme:

I'm a big Marcus Vick fan. He will be a 2nd round pick. I am also a huge Chicago Bears Fan and I would love to see them pick him with there 2nd round pick. I think he will be a helluva lot better NFL QB than Mike..He has a better arm and the same speed.

I would be highly dismayed if anyone picks him at all. Remember Lawrence Phillips? Cecil Collins? Maurice Clarett? Art Schlicter? Hell, Onterrio Smith got sent to purgatory just for using a whizzonator! In the image-conscious NFL, nobody wants a guy like Vick on their team no matter what the talent level is.

Shame because I agree with you about his ability but he's more likely to be playing for the Virginia State Prison team than he is for the Bears next year.

Just my :2 cents:

Marcus will get drafted but not until the 5th round or above.
His character is a major concern and you don't know what he will get from this new 3 counts firearm charge.

He may get a contract and sit for a few years just to get the NFL feeling and learn to handle himself.

He'll let a whole team down with that attitude of his. So get him to the Bucs, Carolina or the Falcons...just so these teams can knock some sense into him, especially his bro...I love those teams...lol

Not going to happen....Marcus Vick's NFL career is over.....

After pulling a gun on teenagers at McDonalds. Marcus Vick would be happy to get drafted at all. The NFL doesn't want this crap going on and making the league look bad. If he does get drafted look late rounds and think of what happened to Clarett.

I have to agree with DownTown, those are fairly good college stats.
He's still a punk, but let's see if he can grow up into a man.
I seriously doubt it, but maybe it'll take just 1 person to set him straight.

I'm a closet Bears fan, their D kicked butt on my fantasy team this year.
Don't know if they want to touch Vick though.

It's sad how young men don't realize what they got until its gone.

Thanks for that news post Aces, just got off work and thats the first I've heard about that............talk about jumping from the frying pan into the fire. If he had a chance at a draft before, I think he lost that now.

If he doesn't make the draft now, no football, no college and after the the firearm incedent, McDonald's now probably wouldn't ever hire him either.

You think some people just go out of their way to screw up their lives. Some people are given more opportunity then most people will ever get and they decide to throw it all away.

You really don't know a thing about character and integrity, do you :thefinger. In one week this subhuman has stomped on a tackler's leg (because he has no class), has been KICKED OFF of his own team (because he no longer has any value), and waved a gun in a 17 year old's face (because he has no brains). This, all in ONE WEEK!!! He also likes to fuck 15 year olds, smoke dope while he's doing 85 down the highway, and flip off the crowd at a major college football game. He's obviously the same level of scum that you would find by scraping the bathroom drain of a Trenton YMCA.

But then again you've displayed the fact that you've got the intelligence of a rotted log, repping me with ever so creative "you are an IDIOT!". You've got the intellectuall capacity of an ant dying in the midday sun so it's easy to imagine that perhaps the actions of Marcus Vick ARE impressive to a dirt eater like you.

LOL! :1orglaugh Well said, A&J! It's good that you didn't close the thread outright or delete the posts! Cool. :hatsoff:

Let's end the hostility and name calling. Things are getting out of hand. Express your opinions on Marcus Vick and leave the other stuff on the playground, or at least between youselves in PM's. Leave the rest of us out of your mutual hate-fest.

send him in a military camp with the same type of sergeant than in Full Metal Jacket (sergeant Drill Hardass Hartman). There he will be beaten by the sergeant and kicked in the face by him maybe he will understand respect and discipline.

LOL!!!! :georges:

Yeah and then he'll have some of his "peeps" do a drive-by shooting or an alley-way stabbing of "Sgt. Hartman." You can take some people out of the ghetto, but with some people you can't take the ghetto out of them. :( :thefinger

I once referred to this here on the board, such wisdom from my dad when I was a kid...lmao "Son, you can't polish a turd." Too true.

I know.

Alright A & J, I was just having a little fun. I didn't mean to call him a rotted log or a dirt eater but hey, he started it!

Anyway, here's a legitimate sports writer predicting a 6th round pick http://msn.foxsports.com/cfb/story/5234132

Earlier on ESPN Radio Dan Patrick asked Keith Olbermann who he thought might "take a chance on Marcus Vick"

His answer: "The Virginia Parlole Board" :rofl2:
