WillEWorm, you that know the truth about God...can you please answer me some simple questions since most Abrahamic religions claim there is only one God and he is omnipotent and omniscient.

1. If God is Omnipotent, knows everything, therefore foresees the future, why did he created Lucifer who he knew would betray him, hence creating something evil as part of his plan?? If you say he didn't know, how can you say he knows everything, and how come he didn't know that, yet knows whats going to happen to this world??

2. Since we come from Adam & Eve, why is incest considered morally wrong now? And let's say Adam was Caucasian and Eve was Negroid, from where do we get the Mongoloid race?? The evolution theory has a more credible explanation for this.

3. Why he created a world he knew he would have to eventually destroy?

Is very fantastic and romantic to think that each one of us is created by a supreme being who promises everlasting life if only we behave according to his will, and not just accepting that we are the simple result of mom and dad having sex at the right time and that when you are dead, well, you're dead.

I want to believe it too, but Logic is getting too much in the way. Or maybe that's the devil.

On another but somewhat related note, I always find it amusing that organized religions have huge sections of religious text that they preach that they consider true and literal no matter what, but at the same time they have huge sections of text they either don't take literally or they say you have to only consider it in the context it was said. Everything that might not agree with strict religious fundamentalist is just kind of ignored or they tell you they know more about it than anybody else are allowed to say how it should be for everybody.

I expect them to accept those of a "different" lifestyle about as much as I expect gang bangers to. The fact that they are (now) makes them look weak. I'm not a Lutheran though, so it's not my problem.

Seriously though, I have seen up close what organized religions do in my inner-city community, and it's a lot more than the average American. Take it for what it's worth... :dunno: I'm not endorsing nor am I going to bash them for a traditional viewpoint they have. I see too much good in food banks, in homeless shelters, in treatment facilities, free health clinics...from those of an organized religious background for me to ever dismiss them as loons or otherwise label them using unflaterring language, as some MSM outlets do.

Genesis is where the Garden of Eden was created and God set up the natural order, one man and one woman. Jesus was also quoted saying He must carry out His Father's Will. So, anything God said Jesus would agree with.
