Lost

They told the press they have enough for 8 seasons.

But with the hatred building, they will have to give in before then.

I like it too, and i will continue watching it. But the fact that they don't ever give anything away makes people pissed off.

There is just too much going on and it's getting hard to follow.

Wow! I think this may have been the best episode of the entire series tonight. Extremely strange, but I really enjoyed the way they tied in so many things tonight, from Ben's father Roger "Workman" to, even, the Apollo candy bar that the little girl gave Ben when he arrived on the island.

I hope this will silence the people that gripe about certain episodes being irrelevant. I know a lot of people bitched about the episode where Hurley found the van that it was too irrelevant, and here we see it tied in very neatly.

It was weird seeing the guy in Ben's flashback that looked just like Richard Alpert. Hell, it was weird just seeing a flashback from Ben for that matter. The kid they cast to play young Ben, by the way, was perfectly cast. Looked like it could have been the actor's actual son as much as they looked like eachother.

Now, I seriously doubt they are going to kill Locke, but this show has really got me guessing at this point.

I'm looking forward to having that whole Jacob event explained.

I agree 100%. that episode compltely blew me away. I don't know what the hell is going on. That's more like good old fashion Lost!

I'm not sure how it's going to go with locke, could go either way. I still want to know how the hell mikhail survived the sonic fence. and jack is still pissing me off and I hope that julliete get's blown up next episode.

Last night's episode pissed me off.

Mikhail explained that the fence was not adjusted correctly to kill him.

The jacob character and the shit happening in the room was stupid. I think the events in the room tie into the black cloud.

The only thing in the episode that made sense was showing what the incident was with the natives (hostiles) taking over. Now we have to wait and find out who are the natives (hostiles). Most likely they are people who were sucked onto the island. Judging by how they are dressed, they may be the survivors from the pirate ship and other vessels sucked onto the island.

At the begining, was that Ben's parents out in the woods? They came out to the road and I noticed the sign that said Portland 32 miles.

Peace.

crazy crazy....episode overall was great....left me with a shit load of questions, as usual...tied up a few loose ends for me, like the van and the others...jacob..jacob, holy shit jacob....i caught a glimpse of him in the show, but didnt know what the fuck was happening...

Yes, those were Ben's parents at the beginning. As his mother was dying, she told his father to call the baby Ben. Also, toward the end of the episode, Ben admits to Locke that he wasn't born on the island. So we now know that Ben was born in Oregon.

Jacob = Kris Kristoferson :D

and somewhere in the back of my mind, when all the shit started flying around the room during the Jacob scene, all I could hear was Piper Laurie cackling "They're all gonna laugh at you, They're all gonna laugh at you"

ok, now that I got the wise ass remarks out of the way.

I'm trying to figure out why the eye-liner guy (can't think of his name at the moment) hasn't aged. When the young Ben runs into him in the jungle, he looks the same as he does now (save for the hair) which is at a minimum 20 years later.

good call. I was thinking the same thing. I just tried to suspend my disbelief, but now you got me thinking.

what if the original inhabitants of the island don't age and they were there from the time of the statue? (sort of along the lines of what blackbull was thinking)

one thing I don't get about that guy is why was he in miami with ethan and julliette for that fake company (which we assumed was dharma, but now we know it's not)?

His name is Richard Alpert, and I'm not convinced that was him. Oviously it's the same actor, but I'm thinking it could be another character. Perhaps one of Richards' close ancestors; father or grandfather or something like that.

I'm also suspiscious because in the scene where the "hostiles" were picking up the bodies of the dead Dharma people, when the guy pulled his mask off, his hair looked different. Now this could, of course, be explained with something as simple as "he got a haircut", but while Ben was talking to him after he'd taken his mask off, there was another guy that walks past Ben, and we only see the back of his head, but it also looks like it could be the guy that plays Richard Alpert.

I was trying to catch a glimpse at any of the other hostiles that were in the shot, but I couldn't get a good look. All of this, along with the fact that everyone had masks on, so we couldn't see their faces just makes me wonder if they all looked alike. I wish I could find screen captures of that scene so I could take a better look.

Do you know I have not seen one single episode of this show, and it is the kind of show that is usually right up my alley. Guess it never really enticed me enough, I still find it odd though.
