Life comes from the Sun, right?
The Sun is a star, right?
There's like a billion stars, right?
It seems almost impossible for there NOT to be some form of life on some other planet, in some other galaxy.
Jesus was from another galaxy. The only one to come over here and die for out sins. Correct, maybe It is the truth.
scientist said that the alien specoes they found were similar to us in every way except for their facial structure.
Either 1) Scientists lied because FBI forced them to.....
or
2) They were not actual "alien" species.
[ Quote] I mean, think about it.

It took billions of years for humans to show up on Earth. Maybe we just need to wait around for other planets to start catching up.Actually it's not quite that easy. Not all stars give off the same type of light. Our sun happens to have the 7 colors in the spectrum but other stars only give off a specificic color. Secondly, there are other factors that lead to life besides having a star with the right kind of light. For instance, gravity. If a planet has a gravity that is too small or too strong, life won't thrive or evolve to anything beyond the microscopic.
That being said, I think you are right, the probabilities that life exists elsewhere are worthy of consideration. Personally, however, i think we as a race might never come across them. First, they might be too microscopic. Two, even if they are not they might be completely different from what we hope to see in them and miss them altogether. (Have you seen Solaris? The alien was a giant liquid-type ocean). And finally, assuming for the sake of argument that the universe has a center and is, thus, finite, the distance it would take to travel from where they live to where we live is so great that one species/civilization would rise, thrive, and fall before we would ever meet. Anywho, that's my two cents. Great thread guys.
I'm of the opinion we should worry more about finding more intelligent life on this planet before we go looking up to the stars.
that was irrelevant

Or not...whatever.
and jesus being from space isnt??
there are 10^22 stars in our universe. using threshold ranges for all of the parameters required for life as we know it to exist, the probability has been calculated at 10^99 to 10^232. if that is true, then there are not nearly enough stars for life to be probable.
Wait, so you think we are completely alone in this giant void?
i don't really know but i wouldn't be surprised if we are the only people in this universe. however it's possible that universes exist of which we are not aware of and they could have people.
