is south park still funny?

The pirate episode last week was so funny i almost peed in my pants! YES still funny, although season 4-9 i think were consistently amazing. Before then they were too low quality and the characters were not established enough and since then there are episodes which are a bit too politically concerned for my liking. But still its the only show other than lost i still watch religiously xx

Is it still funny?. I never thought it was funny to begin with. So, to me, nothing's changed.

The thing is though, I like Basketball and Orgasmo, the two movies made by the guys that made South Park. Yet I think SP stinks.

It might not be as good as it was a couple of seasons ago, but it's still funny and worth watching.

yeah its still funny but not as funny as it used to be.

they need to bring some of funny characters like the city wok guy and towileeeie :frenchman

One the whole I say no, but now and again they do come up with an episode so good it's practically a masterpiece.

Last one IMO Major Boobage from Season 12.

That one just left a bad taste in my mouth.

A lot more suicides in it nowadays.

I recently watched some of the latest episodes. THEY SUCKED!!!!

With the exception of Margaritaville, Season 13 has thus far been terrible.

Yeah me too & I was looking foward to it as well , I thought it would have been very funny but it wasnt and like you said in bad taste

Some of the newer episodes have really outdone themselves. Example: "FAGS". Personally, my favorite SP ever. The KFC/Weed one was really damn good to, up there with the classics.

Having not read every reply in this post, please forgive anything I say that was already said.
The show still hits and misses for me. They still are able to cross that fine line between good "shock" humer, and being mean for the sake of being mean. On the best episodes of South Park, They jump up and down on that line, forcing it to it's boundries where they are about to burst. Since we are on a porn website, let's think of it like this: Matt Parker and Trey Stone are fucking the SHIT out of those jokes. They know, however, that if they come, it might get in the eyes, nose and throat of the home viewer, and a good chunk of those fine people (even some of their most loyal fans) would not enjoy that and turn away from the show. So Matt & Trey Fuck the finest, hottest, juiciest jokes they can write, but at that moment, they must HOLD BACK! We all know (or at least know of) how insanely hard it is to try to pull back at that moment. These guys stop just before the grand moment every episode to keep them from going to far. Episodes like the one with Lucas and Spielberg rapping Indiana Jones and when Cartman let his feelings about Mexicans a the water park known. And let's not forget the dead celebrities on the plane. Just a little bit more, and everyone watching would have a face full of jizz. So after 13 years, South Park still pushes the envolope, and Matt and Trey can make sweet, sweet love to the jokes.

Yes...having not read the preceding posts, here are my reasons:
  1. Fresh topics, pertaining to current events (e.g., Somalian pirates, High School Musical, Avatar/Glenn Beck).
  2. Not afraid of censorship and P.C. topics (e.g., religion, homosexuality, politics, disabilities).
  3. Not afraid to put Hollywood, in its place (Tom Cruise, Steven Spielberg, John Travolta); as well as non-Hollywood (Oprah Winfrey, Barbara Streisand).

A particular favorite moment of mine was when they killed off Chef. Woody Hayes had no issues when the writers poked fun at Christians, Jews, Muslims and Buddhists. But when they dare made fun of the Scientologists, he spoke up against South Park. They wanted none of his B.S.!
