If You Have Already Taken LSD Or 'Shrooms Would You Do It Again?

When I was in high school I used to drop acid and do 'shrooms all the time. We liked to dose then go hiking up in The Palisades. I've had other times with hallucinogens but hiking was the most common. I never had a bad experience with 'shrooms but I've wigged out on LSD a few times. I haven't done hallucinogens since my dad died when I was 19. I had changed at that point and didn't want to have a worse trip than I've had before.

Now, as a middle aged man with a comfortable life and low stress I think I might be able to do some LSD or 'shrooms. I've been looking for the right opportunity and environment for some time but haven't found it yet. If I didn't have anyone in mind to dose with maybe I just do it on my own in my own house raiding my own stocked refrigerator from time to time. I'd keep plenty of weed and beer handy to level myself off and come down.

From what I understand, LSD shuts down the receptors that let you feel alcohol. If you mellow things out that way, I say for the the shrooms.

You mean maybe pharmacy drugs that are different thing than street drugs although the former may also be sin if used in vain.

I have done neither, but as a bit of advice be careful around shrooms, and know what the hell you are doing before doing any. Some are poisonous and can kill you. I've actually heard people talk about how they thought it was going to be a good idea for them to just go into the forest and randomly start eating whatever they could find to see if they could get high.

While I'm not big on telling others what to do if they don't hurt others, I wouldn't recommend people touch lsd with a ten foot pole. It's not as much the hallucinations right after doing it as much as I would question what the long terms effects it would have on a person's brain. It's not a drug that just slightly alters one's mold or perception, like say weed. Because of that I also would never use either while alone and would have at least one sober person around to help get trough it alright.

A girl friend of mine suggested we both try shrooms together. Neither of us have done it, but I've been looking into it. Sounds like it could be an enlightening experience, especially with the right person and in the right environment. She's a nurse and I feel pretty damn safe with her. I think its as good an opportunity as one can ask if they're going to try it.

I,ve never done shrooms, and won't for 2 reasons. First, I have no one I can trust to get them from, and second, the only person I would trust to hang out with, isn't willing to do that stuff anymore. I have dropped acid....last time was about 32 years ago. I won't do it for the same 2 reasons, although I really did enjoy it back in the day, and even though I didn't do it a lot, I was fortunate enough to never have a bad trip.

It's been 20 years since I done LSD and I think I can still taste the strychnine. That after taste lasted for days no matter how much you brushed. Yuck!!!
