Is "maybe" not just the short version of "the answer could be yes or it could be no ; it depends on other factors, the question is not straightforward enough to warrant a yes or no answer" or "based on the available information, the answer is neither yes or no" - whether there has to be consideration/mulling or not? That the "consider" in the poll option refers to considering the "specifics" to which you refer? And "it depends" is the superfluous addition for a lot of people that have chosen "maybe?"

If I said "No" that would mean I wouldn't do it, and that would be a lie because there are absolutely scenarios where I would in a heartbeat, without thinking twice. If I said "yes" that would mean I would, and that would be a lie because there are scenarios where I wouldn't (or would at least try not to... what one should do isn't always what one does). If I said "Maybe" that would mean that when faced with the situation I'd find myself unsure and that I'm not certain whether I'd want to or not, and that would be a lie because ultimately I'm entirely sure about what I want, and the scenarios where I think it would be appropriate.

Fact is, there's nothing to consider. Nothing to think over. It's a yes or a no depending on the specifics of the scenario. Semantics? Fantasy is almost always better than reality which is one of reasons why I voted NO to the question.
