God was out Christmas shopping with his wife. He didn't pay attention to the game this weekend.

Okay...now that it's over...what WAS "It?" No...it wasn't religious at all. It was a guy who loves God, is decent, and plays football in the NFL. If nothing else, the whole ordeal taught us that people are tired of cocky, overpaid whiny athletes carrying guns, shooting HGH, and killing dogs. Turns out people...and, as God might have liked it, the media...turned its attention to a minor phenomenon with a major message--one that the Almighty never needed to intercede. So, congratulations to Tebow and the Broncos for giving their fans something to cheer for, and to the Patriots, led by Tom Brady, who won an important game in their quest for the postseason...despite whatever other intent they might have had.

Well said. Everything else aside, the kid is a class act, and has given a lot of people in the state of CO something to cheer about...a reason to turn on the TV on Sundays...even if Fox and Elway prob wish he'd disappear.

Tons of players go from college to the pros. So? I'm sure he's a super nice, cool guy. He gets hot women, what's not to like, right? I don't care. I'm not hating the person, like you want to imagine. Sure he's led his team on some nice drives, but I'm not going to sit here and eat it all up because he's a good kid. He has a lot of things I like, but his arm isn't one of them. All that other shit is just frosting. Tim Tebow is looking damn good in those areas, and just because he doesn't do it in the way you wanna see it, doesn't mean he's shit. Get off that. I'm a Bears fan... trust me, I've gotten a real good look at a shit QB in past 4 weeks. QB's do not win games, much less Super Bowls. Teams win. With that said, who would you rather have as your QB? Jim Kelly or Trent Dilfer? Dan Fouts or Brad Johnson? Of any of the QB's on either list, Tebow's game most closely resembles Ken Stabler with one huge difference. The Snake was accurate as hell.

Of the wins that the Broncos have had since Tebow took over, how many came against a team that would currently make the playoffs? The answer is one. And the Jets are not a sure bet to make the playoffs. The Lions made him look like a back-up High School QB and the Pats just smoked them. Right now he is just not a good QB. He might turn out to be a good one. Then again once teams have a chance to scheme against his strong points he may just flash out.

When they started giving him credit for *kneeling* by calling it "Tebowing", once the nausea wore off, I realized that (once again) it's the media more than him. Places were running stories as "News" about skiers doing it, and on and on. That's not news. For decades, players have run into the end zone and pointed at the sky. I don't recall a whole fall/winter where people were running news stories about the latest craze of "Emmit Smithing".

Once other teams have a bit more time and film on him, he'll find the NFL is not so kind.

I don't know what you've been reading, but a ton of people were ripping Suh for his b.s. Same goes for Blount and Spikes (although, I think Blount was justified).

One way or the other, I frankly could care less WTF Tebow does - it's likely the Broncs will make the postseason with the Raiders loss, but even if not, even if he loses out, he still went 7-4 in the NFL. My life goes on, Tebow (and pro sports) or not. I've lived the life; I don't need to live through false idols like insert name here who are on your teli every night and who you worship. I've already played right next to athletes my entire childhood who went on to DI, DIII and pro status. Shit I have a pro athlete in family, and the kids I grew up with right next to my house and still best friends' cousin was lineman for the Jayhawks and played (briefly) for the Cardinals.

And FWIW, the Broncos/Pats game yesterday was the highest rated NFL game in four years. Although you hate it, Goodell and his clan are loving every minute of it.
