Halo 3

I think that the Assault Rifle is much better now. I hated it in the first game, and I also hated having to start with an SMG in multiplayer in Halo 2. The Assault Rifle seems just right as a starting weapon in Halo 3. Though I've also seen complaints of it simply being too effective as a starting weapon, but overall I'm pretty happy with the changes.

just a note to let the person who thought the helmet with the halo 3 legendary was not life size, your wrong buddie, it is so there, ha ha, now if only my head with 3" wide i could wear the damn thing. oh well.

Which is worse, the fact you took the time to write this crap, or that I took the time to read it?

Well, 5 or 6 years and my old Xbox has finally given up on me. I just ordered a 360 there now. Anyone playing online? Ill hit you up with my new GT when my 360 arrives.

6 years? Thats a damn good lifespan for an original xbox, timed it nice though, I heard the xbox live service for the original xbox will end in november and it will be pretty much a 360 zone from here on out.

Cool. I will definately add you when my 360 arrives. My gamertag will most probably be aka Backwards or something similar, because my old one which I had for 3 years was TheBackwardsMan so I wanted to pay tribute. If you get an invite, you know who its from.

So, Bungie and Microsoft have split. Bungie is now an independent company working with Microsoft, who retain their share in the company, but they're not wholly owned anymore. Wonder what this means for the future?

A surprise? Why? Halo's single player has always been excellent.

The single player in Halo 2 for me was a joke. The only real thing that made it fun was quality of the graphics, and multiplayer. :2 cents:

I'm really amazed by the Theater mode of Halo 3. That you can record a some big battle, and then you can switch between views or just fly the camera around as you please, all the while you can pause the movie or fast forward in it. That's really cool.

Hey,is it true that you will be able to play against PC players through Windows Vista from your regular 360 through XBox Live?I heard that they are going to integrate the both so everyone can play.If that is true, then I think it would be wise for Microsoft to make a mouse and keyboard perriferial to compete with the PC gamers, otherwise they will absolutely get their asses handed to them almost every time.

A mouse for 360 players? Why, those of us who play halo 3, have done so through the series and pretty much every other FPS on the 360, we are just as proficient with a pad as we might be a mouse/keyboard. I use to favour the mouse combo for shooting in the likes of call of duty, but now I feel I am no better or worse whichever choice I use to play.

I like dual analog as well but lets be real, there is no way you can get the pinpoint accuracy that you can with a mouse and keyboard, unless you have an auto lock option. Some console FPS are really good with a controller and others are not.I'm assuming that a lot of Halo 3 player also play FPS on pc as well and would have no problem going to a mouse. Not only that, they would probably be better players.Just my :2 cents:,any other opinions on this or am I all wrong?

The PC players can buy the Xbox 360 wired controller and be on the same playing field as Xbox 360 players. There is no need for a keyboard and mouse.

No need unless you want to pwned everyone playing with a controller.:D

Hey,look,My friends who faithfully play FPS's on pc swear by mouse and keyboard.I've even heard that some people like to use a track ball.It would make sense to me that they would have this for X Box(and PS3) for the number of pc gamers that don't like to use dual analog control.

not true, shadowrun on the xbox 360 and pc have proven with out a doubt that the controllers owns mouse and keyboard most of the time, ha ha their words not mine as i do like the mouse and keyboard but have at times prefered a dual analog controller on the pc which you can get from microsoft with reprogram tool so there is no excuse for the games not to work with it !!

I for one have never played a shooter on the pc, of course that's because I've never had an excellent pc! I can see how you could shoot much more accurately with a mouse however!

Makes sense to me! But I've been using a pad for the last 23 years now. I'm kinda used to it!

Shadowrun did gimp the PC players pretty severely, though. The auto-aim was much more obvious for console players, and the speed with which PC players could actually move was reduced. Not the way you'd want things to work with an FPS, I'd wager.
