Halloween Two

"It's on motherfuckers! I know it's been a rumor for awhile, but until it's a real deal I don't like to announce things." Rob Zombie from his official myspace blog!

I am very excited about this because I love horror movies and Rob Zombie the two came together a few times and I was so happy but here it is once more so it feels orgasmic! I loved all of Rob's other movies and I think he did an amazing job with Halloween 1 so I know 2 will be great! I am very excited I will be at the first showing when it is released! As soon as the trailer becomes available I will post it!

:grumble: Rob Zombie is unexpectedly good, but nowhere near great. Good for him, but.. as the saying goes...

'Meh...".

OK did you guys even watch Rob Zombie's version of Halloween because I have seen it 1k times and I think it is a better story than the original you get a better perspective of why he is the way he is and how he actually got the knife and Mask. The original story never covered any of that!

Thats what made him scary in the original. He didnt have a story, he was justa psycho that escaped from a mental institute and went on a killing spree. To me the less we know about someone the scarier it makes them, because we fear the unknown IMO. Not to say I didn't love Zombie's version, and will more than likely love part 2 because I am one of the biggest horror movie nerds in the world, andMichael Myers is by far my favorite horror character ever. I would have been mad if he had have just remade it exactly, so yes it was a nice touch on the story, just not as good I don't think
Can we talk about X-men again ? I never understood why people liked this movie anyway.

You are more than welcome to talk about X-men in the X-men thread. This is about Halloween, so no you cannot talk about X-men here. I never understood why people like X-men anyway.

I know that a lot of people gave Rob Zombie shit for "changing" the story a bit, but I thought his version of Halloween was a great remake. To be honest, I always thought the Halloween movie series was kind of a joke, but Rob Zombie made me actually get into the story a little bit with how he dove into the psychotic part of Michael's childhood.

I question his ability to remake Halloween 2 though...

How is he going to make a Halloween 2 when he killed Michael Myers in the first one?

Michael Myers cannot die! I saw Rob Zombies remake, and I loved it. It's actually funny. It's rare to see a movie that is not only a great horror movie, but also has very funny moments to it. But I don't believe it's part of the story to ever have Michael Myers die. There's always way to bring him back to life. I mean you cannot hate his remake of Halloween. Now what you can hate is the movie Freddy vs. Jason. How that is even a movie, I don't know. Frozen in fucking time? You have to be shitting on me. Seriously? What a waste of my life it was to see that decomposed turd of a movie. Blah. I'm looking forward to this. We'll see if it lives up to his first.

Personally I think Nina Mercedez should be in this one. :D

I'd agree that the appeal of Carpenter's Halloween is that Meyers isn't a character -- he's a metaphor. I really did not care for Zombie's Halloween remake. The Devil's Rejects is a good movie.

Ms. Mercedez, have you seen Let the Right One In? That's pretty messed up.

If you'll notice in the credits, he isnt even listed as Michael Myers. He is only listed as the shape.

No but I will add it to my blockbuster online movie thing now.

Cool, I thought the remake was pretty good. I don't think it was better than the original though because I like that Michael Myers didn't have a back story and that he was just evil but Rob Zombie surprised me. I wonder if the new Halloween movie will be a remake of Halloween II or a completely new story.

It is scientifically proven that it is impossible to kill hack and slash movie villains.

I love horror movies and Rob Zombie is awesome! He did such a good job with the first one with basically an origin story like the way it was. You got to see what made Michael himself. Looking forward to this one big time.

Well, this is just brilliant. Hollywood are doing remakes of movies before they have even been released in the US (Rec/Quarantine), and now remakes of sequels. When will this silliness stop? I thought the remake of Halloween was ok but it seems like if i want to see a good original horror movie i will have to stick to french and spanish movies.
