Greatest Movie Villian Ever

So watching a series of action movies. It got me wondering. Who is the best villain in any movie.

I think my vote goes to Joker from Batman. Jack Nicholson is just the greatest villain ever.

He is creepy, funny, and so damned stylish.

Anyone else have any thoughts?

I'd go with Heath's Joker myself - the guy was realistically insane.
Henry Fonda's Frank in Once Upon A Time In The West... was a great villain, as well. The guy was freaking ruthless.
Many villains since have been based on Goldfinger and Blofeld. Gotta give a nod to those two.

Heath's Joker was amazing. I am not giving that. But I thought there was a distinct lack of pizazz I expect in a Joker.

The other issue I had was the same thing I have in the villain in my favorite movie series. SAW. The villain just simply is too prepared. It felt like he had a writer telling him what is coming up, not someone who is doing things.

And Jack's Joker had the best line ever. When Bassinger asked what he wanted. He paused and said "My face on the one dollar bill." Where Heath's Joker claimed to be an agent of chaos. Jack's acted like one. Just really did just do things. There was no point, no trying to show off some kind of philosophy. He did just do what he wanted.
