GOP potential candidate for 2012

With resurgent Republicans growing increasingly confident that President Barack Obama may yet be a political mortal in 2012, a new name is emerging as a potential presidential contender: South Dakota Sen. John Thune.

For those in the GOP who aren’t giddy about a second Mitt Romney run and aren’t sold on the viability of Tim Pawlenty, Thune represents a mainstream conservative alternative.

Tall, handsome, not yet 50 and with the sort of sunny demeanor that winning national Republicans usually possess, the former high school hoops star looks the part.

He’s also something of a national party favorite for slaying a political giant — then-Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle in 2004.

lol do NOT mention Perot and Quail in the same sentence. Perot is a genius and knows business and finance inside out in addition to having sound political views (he'd never get elected just like Nader) but he's 78. I read books on the life and accomplishments of Perot...he's the fucking man. Anyway, if Palin gets elected (and knowing this country she probably could be) I'd **** myself. We had 8 years of Bush...no mas. I'd rather have McCain or even Huckabee...

I could imagine Ted Nugent in office. I like the guy and his views on many different topics. I just would not want to see him in a position where he can make decisions for people no matter if I agree with them or not politically or any of that.

I will stick to Ted Nugent just where he is at. And yes, I realize, the Ted Nugent post is a joke. I felt like saying my two cents about it. :hatsoff:

I wanna be either Treasury Secretary... or the Chief Dog Catcher of the U.S. My assistant will be Michelle Bachmann (of course).
