Game of Thrones

I think the Hound will kill the Mountain using fire in some way. The show has pretty much stated outright that the Hound will be the one to kill him and there aren't too many other ways to kill a zombie giant than fire. Obviously the fire ties back to the incident in their childhood as well.

I'm thinking the army of the dead will want a dragon (or two?) of their own. They're Dany's children, so Jon is gonna be in the shithouse if she loses one.

that was post books and pre-this episode:

66 6 "Beyond the Wall" Alan Taylor David Benioff & D. B. Weiss August 20, 2017

At Winterfell, Littlefinger plots to isolate Sansa. Tensions between Arya and Sansa grow following Arya's discovery of the letter Sansa sent as a child begging for Robb's fealty to Joffrey. Sansa discovers Arya's bag of faces she took from Braavos. At Dragonstone, Tyrion counsels Daenerys about her upcoming negotiations with Cersei. Beyond the Wall, Jon leads a raiding party to capture a wight to bring South as evidence of the White Walkers' existence. After successfully capturing one, the group is besieged by the White Walker army. Jon has Gendry return to Eastwatch and send a raven to Daenerys to request her help. Thoros freezes to death overnight. Daenerys arrives and saves the group from the wights, with the help of her dragons. The Night King, leader of the White Walkers, throws an ice spear at Viserion, one of Daenerys' dragons, and kills it. Daenerys flies off, along with the raiding party, but is unable to save Jon. Benjen Stark intervenes and sacrifices himself to allow Jon to escape. When Jon and Daenerys are reunited, Jon pledges himself and the North to Daenerys as Queen. The Night King resurrects Viserion, making the dragon a part of his army.

geez, nice call.

Can't wait for April 14. I have been re watching the previous seasons again, I have season 6 and 7 left to go. Taking a little break now and then starting with those at the around the end of March. Will be done close to April 14 so I can jump right into the new season.

Found a cool site where you can predict who will have died or not at the end of the show: https://poolofdragons.com/
Here are the results so far, I agree with most predictions: https://poolofdragons.com/statistics

My top 3 who still lives at the end:
  1. Brienne of Tarth
  2. Samwell Tarley
  3. Sir Davos

My top 3 who have died at the end:
  1. Cersei
  2. Arya
  3. Melisandre

What's your top 3 survivors and top 3 who won't make the end of the show?

In case you can't get enough of dragons: https://geekysextoys.com/interests/game-of-moans/ :D

Hope they do a better job than the previous season.
The Sansa, Arya, Petyr story made no sense.
Many of the top men going north of the wall in 1 day to bring Cercei back a wight was F-ing stupid.
And Jon and Dany having sex was unnecessary. Now we gotta waste time dealing with that in just 8 episodes.
They should have almost banged but didn't , then they could have been like , "Wow that was close".
Entertaining season but plot holes galore.

Cant wait till Sunday.

I liked the episode. Lots of reunions, mostly well done. I think the Arya and Jon reunion could have been more emotional but its ok.
The ending scene was killer. The look on his face was perfect.

I don't Dany is going to survive. Plus, it seems they are slowly revealing that she wouldn't make a great queen. What do you guys think, is Dany a goner?

I would not be at all surprised if Jaime does not survive tomorrow's episode. Other than Brienne, he will have no friends in Winterfell since Dany will want to get revenge for the killing of her father and the same for the various Starks since he was the one who pushed Bran out a window. It just strikes me as very "GameofThronesesque" if the character who has shown the most personal growth over the course of the series gets summarily executed by the "good guys" before the real fun begins.

I think you may be on to something. That long, cold 'howdy' that he and Bran exchanged, with their eyes.

So anyway, Jaime, that's how to be a better person. Now if you'll just put your neck on that block there, thanks.

Tonight's episode was a good setup for the upcoming battle with the White Walkers. Congrats to Brienne for being knighted. I didn't know knights can knight other people. I thought only royals could do.

Did we get any WTF/Outta-left-field deaths last season? I've gotten used to good people treated poorly, so I'm kind of expecting some bullshit.
