Frantic users petition Microsoft to save Windows XP

Vista is really 10X slower and 10x worse version of xp. :crash:

Unsuccessful experiment that costed Microsoft many years and millions of bucks, and now they want us to buy this crap so they can get their moeny back

F..k Vista :thefinger

Microsoft could give a rat's ass less what people want because they know that consumers will be ****** to buy whatever product they offer, even if it's a pile of anal barf, like Vista. It's slow, isn't compatible with non-Vista ****, it's awkward and clumsy, and it has to verify 25 fucking times that it was, in fact, you that just clicked on the icon on the desktop to open the movie player, or the virus scan, or the shared folder...

Would you mind describing Vista's best and worst feature, in your opinion, please. I am thinking of getting a new PC.

Best feature is turning it into the XP.

Worst feature is the whole Vista system. Only operating system in history that actually conflicts with itself :1orglaugh

Honestly stick with the XP, it's ten times better

Just goes to show much of a piece of **** that Windows Vista really is in the public eye

Premium Link Upgrade

vistashit is a mac osx rip off wich eats a load of ram and it is very unuserfriendly. Screw vistashit and stay with XP Pro service pack2.

Wow, for once I actually agree with Poggy...

I tried Vista on a fresh re-format and it lasted 3 days, 3 days in which I experienced far too many unsupported issues and glitches - which in my honest opinion is far too poor for a company with the experience in OS' that Microsoft have. Back to good old corporate license XP Pro, back to live and kicking within a day :)

I will give it one more chance when I see enough development has been done but until that day I'll run XP on this machine.

sounds like their maybe an ****** in my future. Possibly a leopard? Never had an Apple. Maybe it's time. Lousy for games though and have to add RAM right away. But Vista sounds like crap.

Macs are fantastic (though pricey). And they'll play Blizzard games just fine; what more do you need?

I've been a Mac user for 17 years now, but I've always tried to keep an open mind with respect to PCs - I always said that each had their own strengths and were designed for doing different jobs.

Then my *** finally entered the computer age and bought a very nice looking laptop "preloaded" with Vista.

By "preloaded" they obviously mean "the Hard Drive contains the OS somewhere, but don't make any social plans for the next three days while it sets itself up." In the course of just getting itself to work it rebooted THREE TIMES. And that's before I tried anything clever like connecting to the internet or a printer. I spent a whole evening round there when I thought it would take a few minutes.

I have XP on my (seldom used) PC and it's not really given me any problems apart from me getting used to this quaint notion of "drivers" and stuff... in the end I just got my friend's cute ******** to come and set it up for me, so on balance I'm quite happy for my PC to fuck up on a regular basis...
