i been using Vista for a year now.

i think it has a lot of great new features and a few problems.

but it makes sense that they keep selling XP.

so, i signed.

Would you mind describing Vista's best and worst feature, in your opinion, please. I am thinking of getting a new PC.

Me too.

I`ll never change to vista unless ****** to.

one of the worst os microsoft has made imo.

and what is that based on? speculation? hear-say?

i havn't used it, but am willing to keep an open mind

once it sorts out any problems it has with supporting older games and other applications, then i'll get it and progress onwards to the future

It takes forever to load up.

It blocks just about everything you try to download.

its ****!

I don't get the whole vista stuff. MS wanted to go through to next level of a operating system but it sucked world wide. Namely, Vista was released before reaching its mature shape trully ready for the market.

Vista is the **** in a glossy package. Win XP and Win 98 rule!

No matter how hard Microsoft works to persuade people to embrace Vista, some just can't be wowed. They complain about Vista's hefty hardware requirements, its less-than-peppy performance, occasional incompatibility with other programs and devices and frequent, irritating security pop-up windows.

Vista sounds like a winner.

I knew it was bad and had huge hardware requirements. Good thing I have XP.

If you want to switch to anything newer you could go with Linux.
Unless Microsoft can make something better soon.

I think folks should start using other operation systems altogether. Unhappy with Microsoft's new OS? Don't buy it. Don't buy a computer that ships with it. Get a Mac, or something that ships with Linux. I've warned everyone who comes to me for computer advice to avoid Vista, and those that went ahead anyway have all come out unhappy.

Nothing speaks louder than money (or a lack there of).

best feature: security (supposedly not as good as Mac, but definitely an improvement...)
worst feature: search (it's a real pain... it doesn't find what it's there!)

respect the new PC, just make sure they got drivers for both OS (like in Dell)
so you can change versions with no problems.

Thank you.:hatsoff:

BTW. What's a driver?
