Football (soccer) Summer Transfers

Breaking News

Liverpool have made an official 6.5 million bid for Craig Bellamy of Blackburn Rover. Blackburn have given Bellamy permission to talk to Liverpool, even though they would like to keep the player. It is thought Bellamy will travel to Liverpool today to hold talks.

Read this earlier, deserves the interest from big clubs at the moment ,since leaving Newcastle he has been on amazing form, and im guessing champions league play might lure him in more

Don't know about Riquelme, however Torres is expected to sign for Man Utd to replace Nistelrooy. The fee is supposed to be about £20 million.

i wouldnt see torres goin there but it would be a very good signing! i'd like him to stay in la liga and join one of the top teams

What are Liverpool doing with Robbie "God" Fowler? Was he offered a new contract or has he gone?

Bellamy would be a good signing for Liverpool but Fernando Torres will do better there I feel. His form in the World Cup is gonna make him very expensive, he's the top scorer right now with 4 in 2.

I'm a Newcastle fan but I want to see Liverpool fighting with Chelsea next season. We need some more great Northern teams!

Yup, Morientes is now in Valencia.

More official transfers:

Rui Costa - Milan to Benfica
Tim Howard - Man U to Everton
Mido - Tottenham to Roma
Stam - Milan to Ajax
Wome - Inter to Werder Bremen
Dacourt - Roma to Inter
Pernia - Getafe to Atletico Madrid
Larsson - Barcelona to Helsinborg
Podolski - FC Koln (Cologne) to Bayern Munchen

He signed a new year-long deal a little while ago. :)

I'd be interested to see Saviola at Liverpool, a while ago I saw that there was a link between the two, but I'm pretty sure it's gone now. Not a big fan of Bellamy myself, but it looks like he's about to make the move.

Is Stam away to Ajax? I read he had signed for PSV.

Eidur Gudjohnsen has moved from Chelsea to Barcelona too, I believe.

Craig Bellamy today joined Liverpool for 6.5 million on a four-year contract and immediately stressed that while joining the club is a dream come true, the real hard work starts now.

I do like Bellamy, but he has had quite a few injuries over the last few years. I just hope he can stay fit and injury free, then he should be a good buy.

Van the Man might go to Milan. Or Lyon.

Torres needs to change his mind and go to LIVERPOOL. Bellamy's great but Liverpool need TORRES. I've been saying this for years. Benitez must be able to convince him to come, like he did all the other Spanish stars
. From the looks of it, Poggy might be right, this might be Spain's year, and if so, they'll have a few world cup winners on the team. We'll see.

I'm sure you all already know that Shevchenko and Ballack are now Chelsea players, and that Rosicky has signed for Arsenal. Morientes, meanwhile, has gone back to Valencia (right?) and Pires is now officially a Villareal player.

Where would Liverpool get £25 million from?

To true Feelie, as Rafa only had a 25 million transfer kitty. But that was with the sale of certain players. As Cisse is now injured, thats 8 million gone from that and now 6.5 million he's just spent on Bellamy. In my reckoning I make that around 12 million left.

I think you need one more striker. Maybe Kuyt who you have been linked to from Feyenoord. Not been great for Holland so far but got a ridiculous goals record in the Dutch League. Be around £10 million.

I like serieA games and juventus is my favorite club.
however, this summer would be a disaster for some Italian clubs because of the scandal.

So did Kezman and look at what happened to him in the Premiership.

Wigan are apparently away to sign Kirkland from Liverpool for £1 million.

Everton have signed Andy Johnson for £8.5 million and Jolean Lescott for £5 million.

Man City have signed Dabo from Lazio for free.

We was linked to him all last summer, but Rafa stated he wouldn't pay more than 8 million for him. Plus he's not really done much in the world cup so far has he and Rafa can be very stubbon, take Michael Owen for a reminder.

We've been linked to that many strikers in the last 18 months, if we bought them all we'd have about 100 so far. Current strikers at the club are Bellamy, Fowler (God), Crouch, Cisse (injured till December roughly), LeTallac (should be gone soon), Pongolle (might be off to Blackburn) and Mellor.

So did Ruud Van Nistelrooy, Ronaldo & Romario. You can't base every player from Holland on one flop.

His a much better all round player than Kezman as well, top assister in Holland this season and at least plays with his head up.
