Football: Can't it just go away for a little while?

If my memory serves me correctly, the 2010 NFL Draft was just completed a few weeks ago, now, there's this dipshit with his 1st round projections for, not the 2011 draft, but the 2012 draft (actually this was written up in early 2009 if you can believe it). I hate football sometimes, I really do. The non-stop coverage of it makes me sick. Can't it just go away for a little while?

As a side note, apparently there really is a person named Mike Hunt in this world, and according to this piece, he is projected to go 1st overall in the 2012 NFL Draft. I can imagine Roger Goodell right now, "And with the 1st pick in the 2012 NFL draft, the Buffalo Bills select: Mike Hunt." Classic.

I just want to know which cocky ass studs are refusing to report to camp this summer.

I also have the same can't it go away for a while sentiment about the Olympics ever since they split the summer and winter games.

Real football starts in South Africa next month so just watch that and forget about the other type, it has end of season breaks too where you have a few months to rest your mind or reflect on the past season and prepare for the next season

I like football as much as the next person, but the endless coverage of it all just gets old really quickly. Regular season, playoffs, Super Bowl, free agents, coaching changes, new rule changes, combine, pre draft coverage, the draft itself, post draft coverage, team by team draft analysis and "report cards," rookie camps, minicamps, training camps, preseason, repeat. And every single aspect of football is covered tirelessly, including college football. Throw in the fact that at least 1 (usually 3 or 4) NFL star(s) per year get in some kind of serious legal trouble, combined with the annual "will he/won't he" Brett Favre business (which thankfully hasn't started up yet) it just never ends, ever.

I'm sure the Brett Favre stuff will be starting soon. I love him as a quarter back but I must admit even I'm getting tired of it. And I do agree with you sometimes to much isnt a good thing.

Sooooo.....you're saying the Bills are gonna suck so bad this coming season they will have the first pick huh?? :cussing:

BTW I do agree the sports media do micro-cover every aspect of most sports. I am waiting to see the show that shows us the guys painting the fields before a game......wait....I think I have seen that

ive never been one for sports, except for baseball, but even then it gets to me sometimes.
