I like the square body Chargers too. My dream car (in high school) was a Challenger. I could have gotten one with a 340 4bbl w/4 spd for $700. But I didn't have the $700. So I bought a 73 Roadrunner with a 383 Magnum and an A/T for $500 - and sold it for $750 before I left for school. It's funny to me now, but where I grew up, if you had a Mopar, you had an "exotic car". :D

Any of those cars would still kick the shit outta ones made today, well maybe not some of them but they could tear through them like a M1 Abrams going through a mud hut.

Hells yeah! Any one of them would fuck up all those *** and plastic pieces of shit on the roads today.

As I come from Germany, the whole muscle car concept was a stranger for me for many years.

But General Lee and the Starsky & Hutch cars really blew my mind when I first saw them on TV

Oh, and, you know, we germans just love Knight Rider

Oh yes. I can't stand that shitty new knight rider but I love Gran Torinos, only good ford muscle.

69 Camaro

When you take into account all the factors it's probably the best car ever created.

Yeah.......probably right.
For looks I would go with a 69/70 Barracuda (or challenger)
I like the Mach 1 of the same years. also 65/66 Mustang fastback was awesome looking.
65 Buick Riviera was real cool too. Cougars, Firebirds, GTos, Gtxs, Boss 302.
Actually almost every car from that era was a work of art.
But the 69 Camaro Z-28 had it all.

Thats cause Chevy and Ford ruled back in the day.

Chevy and Ford always outsold Mopar. That's why I saw Mopars as "exotic": you didn't see as many of them around my area.

But as to which one ruled the roost, a fellow named Richard Petty might offer a different opinion on that. ;) And that's back when NASCAR stock car racing was done with "real" cars. Same with drag racing. The 426 Hemi was one helluva engine package. Drag racing, stock car racing, power boats, etc.

Most people consider the 426 c.i.d. Mopar hemispherical the best street engine ever made. I tend to agree...

As I listed above, one of my favorite "muscle cars" is the '71 Convertible Hemi Cuda....Only 11 total were made..2 of which were exported to Canada and another 2 to France. With only 7 theoretically remaining in the US...it's probably close to worth a million dollars now.
