Castillo's corner stops the fight after the fifth! I had it scored for Gomez, 50-45, at the time of stoppage.
Final punch stats:
Castillo: 47/213-22%
Gomez: 92/356-26%
This is a terrible fight. Clottey is afraid to take his damn hands down and take one on the chin. You can't win a fight if you don't throw punches! You think a professional boxer would know that. I feel bad for anyone who bought this on PPV.
Well, Pacquiao got another one - no stoppage, but it sounded pretty decisive - I was checking out the ESPN live blog. Clottey didn't quit, but wasn't very active for much of the fight - seemed to want points for having a good defense
Pac beat that man and won every single round. Nobody yet has been able to completely dominate Joshua like that, and I certainly didn't expect it to go down that way. Clottey played the role of punching bag pretty damn well tonight. He had absolutely no answer and you can see it in Clottey's body language. One thing's for sure, there is no way to prepare for what Manny is at this point in his career.
