Didn't forget you, you were next in line We don't have plans for this really, but I think the idea is interesting. Who would you want to see?

As a potential subscriber to METart and photographer myself I have a couple of questions:

1. Were is METart based giving all places were models and photographers coming from?

2. Did you ever consider to bring your beautyfull models in to contact with Photographers who subscribed to METart, giving them
a chance to work with such beautyfull girls (f.e. coordinated by a pro photographer or someone from METart)? Learning more from the pro's will me nice

Ps: as a non-subscriber METart already gives me lot of Inspiration for my Photography. So subscribing is just a matter of time.... ;-)

Oooh, I LOVE this idea! I would definitely love to see a live photo shoot. This whole world has fascinated me for a long time, but even more so since I became a (decidedly amateur) photographer myself. I don't think I'd ever want to "break into the biz", but it would be fun to see how it operates.

2. What do you say to critics of erotica/porn that say it's anti-feminist and reinforces misogynistic attitudes such as men thinking it's OK to objectify women?

Thanks for the response. I've often wondered what I'd say to my family if I went into such a business (I come from a very conservative background, though I'm more a liberal). As much as one might feel that there's nothing wrong/immoral about erotica and pornography (I very much view it as I do all art, and that's as a beautiful expression of life), it's often hard to convey that feeling to people who are both close to you and whom you know don't share the same view. It's tricky stuff, I can imagine.

I look forward to your answer to #2, since I've found myself in more than one of those debates! (you can probably guess which side I took! ).

I am also from a conservative background so erotica can a difficult and uncomfortable topic for my family and many friends.

#2) My opinion is that erotica is actually very liberating and empowering for women...the human body has long been celebrated as an art form - think classical sculptures and neoclassical art. There is a magnificence is capturing the essence of women in any form - photo, video, sketches, even live moments - that is truly art by (the wide range of) definition. IMO, erotica equates to freedom of expression, control, and power for women, an opposite, important tool working AGAINST oppression of women and their sub classification in society through female designated roles.

I assume you're talking about having to explain it to a wife/girlfriend or perhaps parents? Depending on how computer savvy they are, and depending on what you're normally into, you could say it was something related to the latter. EG, back when I had a girlfriend and didn't want to tell her about it, I just said it was a monthly subscription to a file downloading place (eg, like FilePost et al.) that I used for music, as she knew I really loved music and actually DID have other subscriptions to file downloading sites I used for music. Unless they're really nosy and/or familiar with such things, they probably won't catch on.

This is along the lines of the usual answer I give. I also usually add that the desire for humans to derive pleasure by looking at other humans is a primal urge, and finding a safe, mutually beneficial outlet for it is healthier than trying to suppress it. Looking at the world today, the countries with the harshest restrictions on pornography/erotica also tend to have the worst violence statistics towards women. I tend to think that if a man has an outlet like MA/SA, they're much less likely to let that urge carry over into, say, the workplace or their home life. Plus, controlling women's sexuality has long been one of the trademarks of misogynistic/patriarchal societies, so having an outlet where women can control their own sexuality (by, eg, posing nude) and be paid for it is, IMO, a major step in a positive direction.

Blah, I'm probably starting to ramble, so I'll stop now.

She's a very lovely lady who will have to remain anonymous! I'm most comfortable in flip-flops or barefoot so wearing heels is never truly comfortable for me.

Our home base is actually in Los Angeles but by far the majority of our models are Eastern European - yes, there is a huge market there for softcore photography models and the women possess a certain set of features and physique that the MetArt 'look' was founded upon. American women look different from the majority of our MetArt models - regionally, globally people just have different features. We don't exclude American models from MetArt, we just have more difficulty finding the ones that we feel fit the MetArt criteria more so than with Eastern European women. You'll find that on SexArt for example, we have many more American models - but the site is different and is intended to be so. I'm curious...can you show me a few of the American models you have in mind for MetArt? And thank you for the well wishes!!
