Piracy is one of the biggest problems for any Internet Content Site......MetArt is no different. What steps - if any - do you take to prevent as much Piracy as you can knowing you will never be 100% able to stop it completely but every little bit helps.

What constitutes "success" to MetArt? Revenue? Awards/Reputation? Number of women submitting pix to be considered for the site? What?

From a work standpoint, it's amazing. This industry holds a lot of opportunity for women to excel by contributing their own unique ideas and talents in an industry known for supporting - not stifling - thinking outside the box. I've met some of the most creative and talented people who work both in front of and behind the camera. As in any industry, there are douchebags - both male and female. But overall, I've truly gained an invaluable education in staff and business management, marketing and strategic relationships in the past 12 years. I put the 'product' we sell into perspective and for me the fact that it's porn doesn't change how I view it (though it changes how I market it) - it's a high demand consumer product just like iPads and Toms shoes.

From a personal standpoint, I think that working in this industry for so long has desensitized me a great deal. I don't even blink when I see nudity anymore. I also think it has benefited me in that I am open-minded about people's sexual preferences and sexuality.

A difficult question, but a good one. We want to protect our content and not have it distributed outside of our site but you have to be realistic about piracy these days. There is no antidote to *******s other than making your site a good enough value that the ******* doesn't seem worth it.

We aim to do that by making the site worth purchasing. Sure you can find some, if not all, of our photo sets on *******s but it is going to take you much longer to download and you don't get the benefits of being a member yourself -- things like a search engine to find girls you're interested in, a favorites section to keep track of your top models, emails to know when new sets for those models come out, etc.

By making the site a good value, by making it easy to purchase, and by making membership worthwhile, we hope that our audience continues to support the actual site instead of simply going for a *******.

I preface this by saying I registered at FreeOnes just to ask you a question. I've been a fanboy of the Met-Art Network for a long time and constantly say that it's ruined most all other erotica/porn for me because of how consistently great the quality is. With the addition of various hardcore sites to the network (especially SexArt), I almost never visit any other porn/erotica sites, you guys are that good, and I hope you never decide to call it quits.

I have three questions:

1. My first question is related to content selection: How does this work with your photographers and models? For example, do you tell the photographers which models to photograph, or are the photographers free to find their own models and introduce them to the site? For models that have already posed, who decides if they're "invited back" for more sets? In other words, do you ever reach out to the models/photographers and suggest they do more sets, or is it always via their submission?

2. My second question is a technical question: How do you host so much content from so many years past? On Met-Art alone a month's worth of Hi-res images is often around 50GBs, and this isn't counting a site like Sex-Art where a hi-res, 20-minute video can run almost 2GBs by itself! My NAS is already groaning from having saved so much MA Network content!

3. My third question is a short one about piracy: Another poster mentioned this, but I was wondering if you think piracy helps to bring more paying customers in or drives more potential paying customers away? I know that I, for one, am a paying customer whom never would've signed up if not for having experienced the excellence of your site through piracy.

A very good answer and I think it answers my third question above as well. What you say about producing content that's worth buying and the benefits of being a member is precisely why I joined after doing the pirating route for a certain time. I eventually realized I was spending way too much time hunting for pirated sets and since most of my searches were for MA material it just made more sense to pay for it, and it turned out to be one of the best purchases of my life.

The legal situation for porn producers is "difficult" currently in Eastern Europe. Porn is outright banned in Ukraine and hindered in Russia.

Do you, as a mainly softcore company, face any restrictions in recruiting and / or shooting in those countries?

Yes, the majority of models are exclusive to our sites. We take model submissions and have exclusive photographers who find these amazing women.
